Civil War widows graves

Do you or any of your friends know if there is a reason there is a fence and roof over two civil war widows graves? One of those civil war widows is my Great, Great, Grandmother West. The other lady find a grave web site said she was scared of storms is why its over her grave. I just thought it was odd that both these ladies were Civil War Widows and never remarried.

I think I found the question and solved it.

FamilySearch has the death and burial record for P W Warren listing his mother as Palestin. I see now that this is the city or county where he is buried and is probably a data entry error by someone.

I cannot find the original email I sent to you, so I forget exactly what the conflicting information was.

I went back to the profile I created for Perry on WIKITREE and it looks to be pretty much the same as your FindaGrave entry.

I do not however that there are two memorials for Perry that are almost identical. The memorial number for the one created after your is 95796440

I have added a couple of photographs t0 the Memorial for William Nathaniel Green and wife Elizabeth Catherine Kite Green - I am the Great Granddaughter of this couple and have additional information as to names of children if you would like to add them to the memorial - I would have done so but could not figure out how to do it. Please email me at if you would like this information.

Pleasant Hill, Harralson County
Your photo of the church here:
is on the wrong cemetery.
That church in your photo is Pleasant Hill Baptist, this cemetery is Pleasant Hill Methodist.

Thank you
Thank you for transfering my uncle and aunts pages to me. I am working on linking them all together. Juat asked for my Father's parents so I can link them all together. Just got all the paper work on the Worthy family and we go back to England and the earliest I could get back to was 1360.

Would like to get together sometime and maybe you could show me how to do the picture thing. Have some more kin the Buchanan City that I would like to start a page for them. Want all of Daddy brother and sisters to be linked together. Also working on Mother family.

Nice to see your parents a few weeks back when I was off work.

take care.

Wrong marker photo
You have placed a marker photo of "Lucille Barker Mays" on my memorial for "Mr James Willie Crowder" #80912132
Would you remove it and replace it with the correct one if yo have it. Great photos by the way.

Chuck Johnson
Emeline Rebecca Evans Reeves
Nathan, My name is Chuck Johnson. I am Emeline's Great Grandson in Marietta GA. My Grandmother was Pearlie and my Dad was Jesse Thomas Johnson. I do have information on dates on all of her 4 sons. Durward, Jesse, Spurgeon and Rhuel. The are all dead now and are all buried in the same cemetery as my grandmother Pearlie. I own funeral homes in Marietta and Acworth and have funeral records on all of them. It's great to see someone in the family. We only have met a few people from her family. I remember going to funerals in Carrollton when I was a child. Burns and I think her name was Vidie Reeves and another cousin that lived on a lake. Mary and ?. Oh well, her daughter lives in Marietta and her name is Mary Ann Cleland. I will be glad to share any information, pictures or whatever I can come up with. Pearlie was married to Charlie Perry Johnson before Edgar Thomas Bartlett.

RE: Emeline Rebecca Evans Reeves
Enjoyed hearing from a Georgia branch cousin, Charles H. Reeves was my great-granduncle, great-grandfather Jesse's brother. The "Reeves & Jones" ancestry tree info and photos that I have of his wife Emeline R. Evans were gathered from some excellent public trees on ancestry. My grandmother Ina's family bible only listed the Reeves family births and deaths back to my great-grandfather and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Thornton.

I am looking for the burial place of great-great grandfather Hiram (1819-aft 1880) and Susan Harper (1815-aft 1880) Reeves. They were last listed in the 1880 census of DeKalb County, Alabama. Charles Reeves and his family left there and returned to Georgia around 1885. His brother Jesse remained in DeKalb County a decade longer, and then moved to Newton County, Mississippi, near Alan H. and Jane Harper Reeves.

It was good to hear from you !
