Thank You for the photograph of Sophia.
The photograph I believe is of Sophia Irene Wines. My family and I are not sure where the Hawkins name is coming from ether. I have put a listing of his (John's) wife's and children below. I found another brother of Jay Hugh Lee and John Jackson Lee and his name is Maynard George Lee. He was born in Cleveland County N C on Dec 25th 1854 and on his death certificate his father's name is William Lee and mothers name is Evaline Parker and that goes with Jay Hugh and John Jackson's certificates .I believe you are right, the father's name is William Terrell Lee but notice what John Jackson named his first child (William Turner Lee). Do you think this could have been a misprint or misunderstanding on Jay Hugh's death certificate ? If you like I will send you a invite for my Lee family tree. (P S) Etta is the 2th wife if Maynard George Lee and she is the daughter of their (Jay & John & Maynard) father William T. Lee's 1st cousin James Jackson Lee

|LFAmes1008||Mary Lee - Pine Grove Cemetery|
I checked our library records for burials in Pine Grove Cemetery, Phenix City AL and did not find your Mary Lee listed. I'd be happy to look for an obit in the newspaper; it might provide confirmation that she is, in fact, buried there, or some place else. Let me know if you'd like me to do so. Thanks, linda

Read one of the messages about the Holdermans. Laura Holderman Mullen was my grandmother. I never got to meet my grandfather, John Mullen as he passed away. My father resembles him so much though.
Please note that my grandmother's maiden name is actually Hollandsworth. This is how it is written in her bible.
I'd be happy to provide any other information.

You are welcome. I try to get the photos in the Copiah County area that are requested. Hugh Covington married my grandmother's aunt, Miriam Smith. I believe I added Luther Covington, but don't remember if that one was for you or not.

No problem. The cemetery is huge so I went through the books that were in the office. Sorry it was not helpful. Records from years ago were destroyed in a fire, but supposedly someone has gone through all the stones since then to make the books that I went through.

I tried to fill your request today but officials at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, NC says she is not buried there. I went by our local library and they have most gravesites on file but not any yet for 2004. I will glad to help hunt for the grave if you have any other info.

|Dorothy Parks||RE: Morton & Copeland!!|
Hi Christine, 2 June 2010
Thank You so much for putting all of the Morton's on Find-A-Grave Site for me!
I don't have much on Samuel Copeland. Here is what I have: Samuel was born in 1815 in New York; was in
1 May 1885 Census for Anoka, Anoka County, Minnesota (can't find him after this date);Don't know his father's name; His wife's name was Lenora (Morton) Copeland and she was born in 1824 in Vermont and died in 1875 in Anoka, Anoka County, Minnesota and her father was Lyman Morton but he is supposed to be buried somewhere in Iowa in 1883 and I haven't been able to find him; I would love to have anything that you could find on Samuel Copeland, especially history and where he might be buried at in Anoka!
I do have email and my email address is:
firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to email me at this address. I live in Oregon!
Again, Thank you for helping me on this!
Sincerely, Dorothy Parks

Thank you for posting the Morton graves on Find-a -grave site. I know who some of them are but not all of them. Are they all buried in the same plot?
Hope you are having a good Memorial Day. It is raining here in Oregon where I live.
Sincerely, Dorothy Parks

Just saw your message. NO, I don't know who all are the Mortons buried there? Do you have their names? I'm also looking for any Schultz's and Copeland's that might be buried there! Especially a Samuel T. Copeland. I think he died sometime between 1885 (at which time he was still living) and 1910 at the latest. I have not been able to find anything on him. He is my great-great-grandfather. I don't know for sure if he is buried in Oakwood Cemetery but I'm assuming he is!
Have a good Memorial Day!

Could you possibly check to see if you can find burial records for Mariah Wheeler. I have no confirmation, but it is possible that she passed away at the same time that William Holderman, Esther Kersher and Martin Kershner did. Also, I foudn that Esther had been married. Perhaps she would be listed as Esther Jones.
If you are unable to look for these two burials, that is ok. I appreciate what you have done for me already.
Thanx again, Melanie Wheeler Popple
