Sarah 'Sallie' Hay Burns
I need help finding where she was buried. She was married to David Mitchell Burns, SR (1790-1864) I have been unable to find her after he died. I have her dates, b. 1803-1884 or 10-07-1801 or 9-21-1877.
No one seemed to be able to make up their mind when her dates.

Hope you can help.

Thank you,

Clairine Johnson, Burns, Manley, Todd, etc lol

Thanks for the transfer. I've added some personal info and links and Reba says she'll have more for me later on.

Shoaf updates
Thanks for the help with updates and links for the Shoafs at Norristown. My friend and one time neighbor is related to them and her parents are buried there, so I was helping her establish links and updates for her family. I'll pass along Reba's thank you to you, too. She was grateful to see the many tributes to her family members there at Norristown.

RE: made changes to Andersons

You're welcome, and I'm glad I could help.

No, I don't live in Hope. I've only been there once & that was in the evening to visit someone at a funeral home.

Date change
I would you mind fixing the date listed for Jefferson Murphy in Norristown Cemetery, the date of death doesn't match the headstone date. Thank You

Bessie Gorman at Batavia Cemetery Iowa
Sarah, I didn't know if you got notified that I filled your photo request for Bessie Gorman at Batavia Cemetery (Iowa) last Sunday. Another contributor had walked the cemetery and reported that they couldn't find the headstone, which I can understand since her headstone was somewhat weathered and low on the ground. I had a cemetery transcription with me so I did find it. I also found some other Gorman family nearby and added photos and memorials to them as appropriate in case they are related. Just wanted to make sure you knew that Bessie is now taken care of. All the best, Richard

Violet Burns
I'm sorry to report that Violet's grave does not have a marker. I can take a picture of the gravesite grass next to Robert's marker or I can delete the request because of the lack of a marker.

Please let me know.

RE: burns family at Hawcreek cemetery
Hi Sarah,
I'm sorry, but the only graves near Cylvany were the ones that I took photos of. We looked at other grave sites nearby, but there were no other Burns. It's possible that William Burns moved from the area and is buried elsewhere.
You might see if you could find someone to lookup an obituary if you know the year and hoepfully the month in which he died. The lookup webite is

Good Luck!
Patti

burns family at Hawcreek cemetery
I am sad to say that the gravestones are in very bad condition and we could barely make out the names. I was able to find the grave of one William B. Burns, but not a William Burns.
Sorry.

RE: about the Russon family
Hi,

Yes, thank you. I am probably related to most of the cemetery. My mother's side of the family had been in the Lehi region since the early days of the church. In fact, even my mother, Karalee Woffinden Wilde is buried there. Family names in the cemetery include Woffinden, Russon, Smith, Yates, Peck, Coleman, Clark, Boardman, Fox, and Simmons. My goal this summer is to fill in much of the sibling information for my direct relatives. The request I gave were for siblings of my ancestors. All these other Russons are 2nd, 3rd, 4th, .... cousins. Thanks for all you hard work! I really appreciate it!

RE: Thank you for the picture
Your quite welcome. When I go out there again in a couple of months after a few more people post photo requests I'll take the other grave that you wanted. I think I saw it next to William and thought I took it but I obviously took 2 of him and zero of her.
