Here is what the Piney Woods Journal Site says: Nightriders: Inside Story of the West and Kimbrell Clan
By Richard Briley III, Commentaries by Loyd J. Harrison and P.C. Lang
First published by the author in 1963, the book was reprinted by Dogwood Press, Hemphill, TX. The story recounts the bloody reign of the post-Civil War gang in the area of North Central Louisiana along the east-west route leading to Texas. Available at Pea Patch Gallery in Winnfield and other locations, around $20 per copy.

Just checked this website: http://www.thepineywoods.com/bookshel.htm and it states they are about $20 per copy in various stores in Winnfield. If you can't get to Winnfield, I'd suggest trying to find an address for Gregg Davies, one of the descendants of the Nightriders. If anybody would know, Gregg would! He lives down there.

Mike ... Everything looks great on her obit; only thing I noticed was the spelling of her half-sister Melba's last name. It should be "Hartzell". This was LaJoy's daughter by his first marriage.

Hmmm ... You probably need to ask Big Boy Bender or Jeane about this. They would know for sure, and also exactly where his grave is.

Mike ... He must not have a tombstone. My son and I took photos of every stone we could find.

Mike ... I pulled up Ronnie's memorial and the creator had already posted his photo. I found links for his parents (Leo & Edrie) and sent a S.A.C. for these to be added.

Hi Mike, I have updated Ronald Leo "Mac" McCLendon on Find A Grave Memorial# 110340729 with the information you gave me. Thanks very much, I think it's important that we make these memorials as correct as possible for future generations.

He could be in an unmarked grave, or perhaps in another cemetery???

My son and I took photos of all the graves at Rest Haven that didn't have them. With info from the photos I created the new memorials. I can understand someone not being able to find a stone there. It's a very large cemetery.

Both Lydia and Jonathan were the children of Joseph Burson Jr and his father was Joseph Burson married to Rachael Potts. I can go back any farther on the Burson side but Rachael Potts parents were Jona and Mary Thomaston Burson. Both of them immigrated from Whales. Jona died in Virginia and Mary in Philly. Rachael and Joseph Burson both died in Virginia. If this sound like your ppart of the family I saw Welcome to the family cousin so may times removed. LOL

My great grand mother 4x removed Mahely york was married to John R williams. Her father was William York and he was married to Lydia Burson. She was the daughter of Jospeh Burson. He was the son of Joseph and Rachel Potts Burson. Lydia Burson was the sister of Jonathan Burson who was the father of Isaac Burson. Isaac was the father of David Lawson Burson. If that makes any sence to you.

I was up to: linking the Penningtons' daughter (buried at Fredonia) to them; I had a hard time finding John W. because of that "dot"!

Just a little help from Ancestry ..... this is a HUGE cemetery, and I'm trying to link kinfolks on all of the memorials I created there. Mrs. Lola was a spouse of one of mine (I think). I went back to Sweet Home yesterday and took a few pictures.

Thank you so very much for updating my Grandfather's information; you have no idea how this means to me.
Can I ask you how you know my Grandfather & Grandmother?
About Love Lee McVicker's Death. I'd have to speak with my mother. I was 15 at the time and truly don't have much to go on. What exactly are you looking for?

When I found this stone , it was a single , there is still a empty plot next to him. Thought you his wife might be beside him. Someone keeps fresh flowers on his grave. Not sure if this can help you find his wife.

Hi Mike Burson,
My name is Miller Krause and I found you through Find-A-Grave. I can't help but to believe we are relatives.
My maternal grandmother's name is Jane Pearson Miller (birth name Paulina Jane Melissa Pearson). Her mother's name was Calesta Pearson (birth name Mary Calesta Burson). Calesta's mother was Sarah Pearl Albritton Burson, who married Joseph Milton Burson. My maternal grandmother, Jane, is still alive and well at 87 and has a lot of family memorabilia, they were a very close family.
Let me know,
Miller Krause of Dallas.
