Hattie Bell
Hi Ruth, thank you for the info on Hattie. I have a question on her age at death. If she was born on Feb 23, 1902 and died Feb 1, 1951 she would be 48 not 18. Do you have a copy of death cert.

Herman Lohmeier
Hi Ruth,

In checking back, John Hinkle posted Herman to Memorial Park. I will still contact my cousin, hopefully, he can give me an idea of the location where Herman is buried.

Herman Lohmeier
Hi Ruth,

Good to hear from you. I do not know where Herman is buried at Memorial Park, I would have thought his children or his wife would have put a marker/tombstone on his grave. His wife Helen, is buried in her families plots.

Herman was my uncle's brother, not sure how I knew he was buried at Memorial Park. I will call and ask my cousin, who lives in Cape, where he is buried.

Will Memorial Park give you any info, I know some cemeteries do not like to cooperate at times?

Take care and Have a Merry Christmas!!!

RE: German Evangelical Church Cemetery
It would be fine if you want to give her my e-mail. The cemetery is on private property but anyone is welcome to go there. However it is somewhat hidden. There used to be a sign showing how to get there but it has disappeared. I go there quite a bit, though, since I have to come to Cape daily.

I set up a Find A Grave for Jonathan Cornelius Buck, Jr. (yes turns out he is a Jr) - Find A Grave 139410482 - sometimes it's difficult to pull up and I have to go to Pvt. Morgan Buck and pull it up

RE: George Washington Wynn
Hello Ruth,

No I did not know that the two cemeteries where so close to each other. Yes Mam, I would be more than glad to accept your offer and transfer George Washington Wynn's memorial to me.

Thank You Very much!

RE: Clyde Carlyle Porter
Walter Porter.
Have you verified with Erin who took the headstone photo at Russell Heights? She may have posted the photo from another source of the headstone?

I wonder what his death certificate has on it as to where they sent the body (cemetery).

You mean the Russell Heights office can not verify if Walter is actually buried there? That is a service they provide to people who come to the cemetery to find a grave. I don't understand.

I'll do some poking around and see if I can figure out more. I would think if both cemeteries can verify that a body was actually buried at the grave site, that would answer the question.

Russell only has Walter's stone (not his wife's).
Cape G. has both stones. There are situations where burials are cross referenced.

Will get back to you if I find something to help.
