Pam Ferguson
Lyman W. Gage's wife
Hi Carmen,

Lyman W. Gage's wife, who is buried in Fairfield Cem., in Pavilion, NY, should be Lorena A. Smith, not Gloria, as it is now listed for the grave stone. As you are maintaining this particular grave site, I thought you might want to make the correction. If you enlarge the actual photo of the stone you can see the name Lorena. Thanks so much. Pam Ferguson

RE: Spaulding Cemetery
You did a really good job transcribing the stones! I hate sending corrections because I don't want to offend anyone, but it's best to have the correct information. So, I appreciate you making the corrections. I was going to go back to the cemetery today to finish up where I left off, but with all the new snow, it will have to wait. Thanks for the link to the newspaper! I had no idea that was online! I recently took over the Nez Perce Co. IDGenWeb site, since I recently moved to the county. I'm obsessed with cemeteries, and the first thing I've wanted to do for the site is to update the inventories and add photos. I'm having a lot of fun, except winter has gotten in my way! I am not connected to any families here, but enjoy researching them when I can. Having those newspapers online will be a big help!

Sarah & Silas Gallup graves
Hi Carmen: Check out Sarah's memorial -- there's a picture of her stone that was just found, photographed and posted on her memorial! See the remarks in the note at the bottom of her page from the photographer as to its location and also his remarks about Silas' marker. Vicki

Part 2 Silence Brewster blog
Your knowledge of those Gallups is amazing -- even when you are not feeling well! I read the awesome Part 2 blog but was a bit confused about the death date of Silas. I thought he died in 1796 shortly after Ebenezer was born. But maybe I have the wrong Silas. Can you set me straight? Vicki

Gallupville Cemetery correction
Hi Carmen: Hope you are feeling better but I'm glad that you were able to fill in a lot of blanks in the Gallupville Cemetery. All of the corrections have been made -- please let me know if you have any more updates. I am still searching for the grave and death date of Nellie (Schoonmaker) Gallup who married James Gallup in 1848 if you ever run across that info -- also more details (church records) surrounding their marriage. BTW, loved your blog about Silence. Vicki

Alonzo Read
Hi Carmen,

Sorry for the late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis.

I posted Alonzo T. Read's grave marker photo for you. You were asking if there were any other Read family members around. I did not see any.

Maureen Davis
Maberry & Ruth Davis
Hi Carmen,

I wanted to thank you for putting my husband's Grandpa Maberry & Grandma Ruth's headstones on "Find-a-Grave". We visited there over Memorial Day. Ruth's parents Dora and George Riley are buried right next to them. Maberry's father Walter is buried over the river in Clarkston, WA.

I was wondering if you might transfer their headstone over to me as an administrator? I have all the other ones on the Washington side of the river.

Are you related to the Davis Family? We do have a cousin named "Carmen".

Orlando Gage
Hi Carmen,

You have listed and included a gravestone photo of Orlando and his wife, Charity in the cemetery of Knox, NY. I found them myself in the Esperance Cemetery, NY. Also, if you look in FindaGrave, you will find someone has posted a photo of the stone there as well. Your photo is much clearer and easier to read.
