That's a good question.

The research was sent showing the birth place is probably Texas as opposed to Mexico.
Kindest regards, Macy Myrick

|Everett L. Davis||Julia Bell (Toten) Davis|
You wrote me relative to a duplicate memorial you encountered for Julia Bell (Toten) Davis. Since you do not allow a private message option in your Find-A-Grave account, and didnít provide an email address in your message, I am posting this publicly since your message comes through with the email@example.com
I am aware of the duplicate. I have repeatedly asked both Cody (who had it transferred from the originator to him) and Find A Grave to transfer it to me.
I am a grandson, and was raised by Joseph Claude Davis and Julia Bell (Toten) Davis, until she suffered a stroke in 1956 in Quanah Texas where I was in first grade. Mid school term Grandma, Grandpa and I moved to Lubbock Texas to live with their daughter, (my aunt) Tressa (Davis) Bass. We lived there with them until Grandpa's passing in December 1959, followed by Grandma (Julia Bell) in January 1960. I remained with my Aunt and Uncle.
I have Joseph Claude Davis' memorial # 17442826 which was transferred to me, Originally Created by: Troy Record added: Jan 15, 2007.
Cody requested Julia Bell transfer originally from Troy just before I requested my Grandfather. I presently manage my paternal grandmother, buried there beside them, as well as their 9 children, all but two of my Grandfathers siblings, which are managed by cousins who descended from each of them. I also have other generationís memorials.
I also manage both of Julia Bell's parents (my great-grand parents) as I search for other family whose locations are unknown.
I remain extremely frustrated that neither Find-A-Grave nor Ancestry, their parent company will follow their own rules and transfer my grandmother's memorial to me. I have had no luck getting bio's, linking updates from Cody Dooley, who is a tribute performer in Branson Missouri.
Thank you for noticing the duplicate, but there is a strong reason for it to exist. I cannot fathom why Cody will not transfer the original memorial to me so I may consolidate and manage them, as I am not only a direct descendent, which he is not, but they were my legal guardians under Texas law until their passing. There is even an open grave-site in the Davis section reserved by my grandparents for me, with them.
No one will follow the Find-A-Grave transfer rules, and Find-A-Grave firstname.lastname@example.org will not even respond to my inquiry. I have been trying for three years and have called Ancestry, but alas there is not a phone number that exists for one to speak directly with staff responsible for Find-A-Grave.

|Frankz||re: Claudia Adelia Harris|
What I found on Ancestry is her parents were Charles Allen #23565491 and Claudia Adelia Johnson Allen #95675343. Mother died 2 weeks after she was born in Dec 1891. Father remarried Mollie Bell Jay #23565510 (wrong dates on that memorial, edits sent) in 1893 and had 8 more kids.
Here's where it gets confusing: 1900 census has her listed as daughter living with father and step-mother, but it also has her listed as granddaughter living with maternal grandparents, still as Claudia Allen. 1910 census only lists her as daughter living with maternal grandparents as Claudia Johnson. No idea if they legally adopted her or what, but it did change from Allen/granddaughter in 1900 to Johnson/daughter in 1910.

Thanks for noting that #121184286 is a duplicate of #9373752. I try to avoid making duplicates. Normally I would delete this memorial, but it already has links and more information than the duplicate memorial. Since I may not be able to get that information on the other memorial, I will leave this one as it is.

My mother was Mary Alice's adopted daughter - she gave the info for the death certificate that says that Mary Alice was born in Louisiana. This is incorrect; she was born in Bell County Texas and both of her parents were born in Louisiana. See the 1920 and 1930 census. Just wanted to set the record straight.

That photo is of the front of their marker. The names listed are William Jones(#81441768), his mother, Emeline Jones, his brother, Somer Jones, and his sister-in-law, Somer's wife, Florence Jones. They are buried in a row, West 7-22-2,3,4, & 5.
