|Gale Baker||Joseph Martin Pickler, Jr.|
Please see additional information below regarding memorial #54752398, Joseph Martin Pickler Jr.
who is my maternal ggrandfather. Following the death of his first wife, Fanny, Joseph married Mary Albertine (Dry) Blackwelder. Mary(#67977993) was the widow of W.J. Blackwelder. She & Joseph Pickler Jr. married on 26 September 1912. This information was on a document in the possession of my mom, Eula Mae (Layton) Barber Carpenter. Also, I posted a picture of Joseph Martin Pickler Jr. on his memorial page. I apologize for not asking your permission prior to posting. I've seen another picture of him when he was younger. If I locate the picture, I would like to post it also with your permission.

|Eileen M.||Sophronia Davis|
I went and photographed all of Old Hickory Hill Cemetery and (new) Hickory Hill. You have a memorial for Sophronia in Hickory Hill. She is actually buried and has a headstone in Old Hickory Hill.Someone already has a memorial for her there and I placed a photo on that memorial. So please remove the Hickory Hill request. These cemeteries can get confusing at times.

Thank you for the heads up. I too have the picture of her but did not put it on line. I am still searching all information to make certain this is the right person. I feel sure she is but Alfred O'Bryant is not Choctaw. His number was a rejection (MCR) for the tribe. Alfred was my 3rd Great Grandfather.

The library's records did not have a Mary Pfalzgraf listed, though that doesn't mean she's not there. Unfortunately, a lot of the STL cemetery records I've found lately have been incomplete -- especially for cemeteries that have changed locations, like St. Marcus, or those that have changed ownership.
Looking back at the pic I took of the records, it just lists George P. and Nancy as being buried in the mausoleum, with "Nannie C. Pfalzgraf" as the lot owner. George P. is at the top of the page, so I suppose George J. could have been on the preceding page (though I don't believe he was, because I looked). Alternatively, whoever compiled the records may have thought it was an unintentional repetition and omitted the other George.
The best way to confirm would be for you to contact New St. Marcus Cemetery directly. Since you're a relative, they would not charge you to look up the Pfalzgrafs in their records. Since I'm not, they will charge me a fee (which is ridiculous, but there you have it). If you want a copy of the records I found at the library, let me know. I just took a pic with my iPad, so it's not the best resolution, but I'd be happy to email it to you.
If you find that George J. is not in there, or that Mary F. is, let me know, and I'll be happy to upload or remove pics as necessary. Good luck!

|afraydknot||Pfalzgrafs, New St. Marcus Cemetery|
I'm just about to upload the pictures for the Pfalzgrafs, and I hope you aren't disappointed. I went out to the St. Louis County Library Headquarters to find out where they were buried (if you ask the cemetery and aren't a relative, they apparently change you) and their listings were Lot 55, in vaults, which suggested a mausoleum. It turns out that they are, indeed, in a mausoleum, but the entry to the mausoleum is bricked shut, so I could only photograph the exterior.
Anyway, I got what I could, and will upload them tonight!
