RE: Woodlawn Cemetery
Greetings! There is not a way to "look them up". You have to call or go to the office and they have to search for the person in their private records. It is not public record (Like Fort Meigs Cemetery is listed at the library) and there is no database (like Calvary's entire interment record book can be found online). The only records are within the cemetery office. No one works this cemetery for photos because it is a huge cemetery and impossible to walk in its entirety. There are thousands and thousands and thousands of graves. The requests were going back over 4 years and some folks have moved on, no longer caring about a photo. For those who still want the photo, I am willing to drive across town to get the photos if they can obtain a location but I can not ask the office to identify 300+ graves myself. If you do not want to obtain the location, that is your choice. The requests will sit for years to come, as they have been. I do a lot of photographing and am trying to help this cemetery because no one works it. I've made 2 trips across town to this cemetery and realized the enormity of its size. Once I have a chunk of locations identified, I will make the journey again, getting photos for those folks who really want the pic. I will help you too if you choose. Happy Hunting, Pamela

RE: Amy Fairbanks is Terry
Well, just delete Amy's page. I can add the death announcement to Terry. Or you can type it in the bio. Whichever. You are very right with what you said about handwriting/transcribers. So very important!

RE: Bethel Church Cemetery
Hello, thanks for the information. I know from Bethel Church (Edwardsport) records that these people's funerals were held at the Edwardsport church, assumed there was a cemetery there ... do you suppose they are probably buried in Freelandville then?

William Hill
Picture
May I use the stone picture for my family tree?

Myrtel would have been my great grandmother. Her son Levy Harrington was the father of my grand father that died in 1941. His name was Stephen Douglas Martin. He was married to Letty A Martin which was my grandmother. They had two children Grace and my mother Edna Faye Martin. She was born in 1932. I would love more information on her side of the family. Some where my grandma said before dying that one of the sides turn into Crow Indians dont know which side. I thought it was her mothers side but it could have been her fathers. cause on Levi's ww1 and ww2 enlistment papers it said he had blue eyes, dark hair, dark skin, 6 ' 160 lbs. can you please help. I just started this and I am already Lost nice seeing some of you new family members God bless you all.

Well spring has come to northern Michigan at last, so armed with the grave locations and maps we got from the township clerk it was back to the cemetery. Sorry to say, but there is nothing marking these graves.

Yes. You are absolutely right. I'd forgotten about your communication about CONDOR. I left it on my messages for others to read for some time before I deleted it. So, now CONDOR is back on my messages for another while;) It's a good resource!

Of course you may. It was the work of maybe, oh, 90 seconds to find the stone again and take the photograph.

We had company visiting us today. But they went home in time for me to run to the cemetery and take a close up on John's name before it got dark.

No problem at all. I'll get up there again once the temperatures warm up. A massive cold front is moving through tonight and the temps will be below 20 for the next few days. Ah, winter in Wisconsin.
