|Khillwoods||Nettie Irene Jackson Barber|
Neil, I sent you an email about Irene, also contacted Carol Heath on here, seems she's kin to Irene's Barber husband thru his first wife's tree. She said his name was Charles Wesley Barber, that's weird since both grave markers have George W. Barber. I'm sure the Nettie Irene & George W. Barber in Forest Hill Midtown are the ones that belong in my tree, not the ones in Texas. I have no idea who the George W. & Edith M. Barber connect with who are buried in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, TX. I'm going to look on Ancestry and see if I can find a connection for them and try to find someone to transfer them to, this is very confusing especially since Nettie Irene died in that area but is buried in Memphis. So thanks for solving part of the mystery and hope you will try and link Nettie Irene, husband's & children together. I don't do much in genealogy right now, waiting on some DNA tests for me and hubby to hopefully solve some mysteries in our direct lines, Kay.

Remarkably unpretentious stones for a family that must have amassed some wealth aren't they?

|Matt Lucas||Georgia Tann|
Hi there, My name is Loren (Matt ) Lucas. I was sold and adopted to a loving couple in Poplar Bluff, Mo. from Jessica Tann. and I am still finding out things about her and the crooks she was involved with. Thank god I was so lucky to be adopted by such a wonderful couple in Mo. I tried for many years to find out more about my adoption but every thing was 'Sealed from me". I have found out that my birth mother was from Mississippi but that's about it. I've done well in the Music biz and had a few world wide hit records and although now 80 years old I'm still recording and touring. Its such a shame that Tann hurt so many people and took their babies away from them to make money..... For years I tried to find out about my mother and who my father 'Might be'? If you would like to contact me, email is always the best as we travel so much but id be happy to send you my land line home number here in Fl. We live in Fl. and New Mexico. Be home till Jan 14th then off to Hawaii for 19 days then back. Thanks Sincerely, Matt Lucas

John Wesley Dorsey parents where Alexander Dorsey and Martha "Patsy" Ray Dorsey..They lived in Alabama but about mid 1850's went with a wagon train to texas. Martha ended up along with her granddaughters in Van Zandt County Texas. I believe but no proof that Alexander Dorsey passed away along on the wagon train..

Thank you for all your efforts in recording Memphis loved ones. I was surprised to see Mom's entry at such an early date. You must have photographed her headstone right after they placed it. (which I wouldn't have been able to view, if not for your efforts). Additionally, you have photographed her mother, grandmother and two uncles. Neither I nor the cemetery representative could locate Uncle Roscoe's headstone the last time I was in Memphis but YOU did! We don't say thank you often enough for what you and other dedicated ancestry buffs have done. Please accept my heartfelt THANKS for honoring my family and many, many more.
