RE: McQueen Family of Oregon
Yes I have a lot of info on the several branches of our McQueens that migrated to Washington. Many of Abram Racey McQueens descendants ended up in the Tacoma area.

Also, I just found Abram Racey's step-brother, Henry wasin the Civil War. Henry was my great-great-great grandfather. He died in the Civil War - Michigan Infantry 22nd regiment Company, Company D.

Henry married 2nd, Hannah O'Neil of Canada and had two boys: John W. McQueen and James Henry McQueen. John W. moved to Kern County, California and his brother James migrated to Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.

Hannah remarried Joseph Terrion of France and had a son Joseph A. Terrion. Hannah, Joseph and the three boys can be found in the 1880 Arvonia, Osage County, Kansas, USA Census.

James Henry McQueen has several descendants in Washington.

I walked and photographed that entire cemetery last summer, but I can't say they are not buried there. Their graves could be unmarked, grown over, or the markers unreadable due to age. Regards, Cheri

His wife is still alive, so I don't like to intrude on her privacy by putting that info on find a grave. I'll go look at the grave again and let you know the name, dates, etc. OK?

RE: Dora Herrell
According to the book, Southern Pioneer Families, written by JCF Herrell, Gaines (Robert Gaines Herrell) married Dora Jennings, daughter of James Jennings & Flora Johnson.

I've added that to her record. Previously I only knew that she married into the Herrell family when I photographed at Zion back in 2010.

So I believe the "J" on her tombstone stands for her maiden name of Jennings.

RE: Dora Herrell
could you provide the Find A Grave # for Dora so I can look up who you are asking about? perhaps I can offer more info if I have the record and know for sure who you are talking about. I have several Dora's in my family tree.

thanks

RE: William S. Coverdale
The Rock Point Cemetery has two sections -- the I00F section (east side) and the Pioneer section (west side). William Coverdale's military grave marker is located in the I00F section.

RE: Coverdale
Hi Karen,
I do not know the name of Elias Coverdale's father. George W. Coverdale did have a son named Forest Edwin Coverdale, married to May Irene Woods and Dana Poselwait. I don't think that you have to be a member to view the public trees. In addition, you may be able to access ancestry at your library.
Hope this helps!
Sheryl

Yes, my husband is a descendant of John Fletcher Coverdale through daughter Margaret Jane Coverdale Bradbury. 1858-1939; you will find her on Findagrave. Yes, John had a son named George William who married Sarah Eliz Penwell and Martha Fogwell. My tree with all I know is on ancestry.com. Hope that helps! Sheryl

Hi Karen,
I saw your photo request but need more info. Was Cora Coverdale's married name Cox? If so, I found her burial site and have a photo for you.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH SOME MEMORIALS AND KNOW FINDAGRAVE DOESN'T LIKE DUPLICATES. I THINK IF YOU CONTACT THEM AND EXPLAIN, THEY WILL REMOVE BETTY'S MEMORIALS OR TRANSFER THEM TO YOU.
HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU. BY THE WAY THAT PASCO CEMETERY HAS ALL GRAVES LISTED ONLINE. YOU CAN PUT IN YOUR SURNAMES AND THE LISTS COME UP. SO IN CASE YOU AREN'T SURE. THERE IS ONE SON THERE THAT YOU LIST IN ANOTHER MEMORIAL. HE DOES HAVE A MARKER.

Not in this cemetery. Did you realize many of your memorials are duplicates and photos were previously posted on the others by Betty?

This memorial was transfered to me by a lady that left Find A Grave. I do not have any info on her or can I find her listed on the Wallowa county records I have. I have transfered this one to you to in case you find something on her.
You might contact the original contributor Lorie on this. I dont find her on Roots Web Either.
Good Luck Charlie

I've since learned that Mr. Van Hoy goes by "Bill." i think he was referring to his great grandpa, Walter Lasley. I think his mom was Avalea? Does that sound familiar?
