RE: Lulu Windle Holbrook
I don't think she had any children of her own.

The children seem to be William Windle's and his first wife. I believe there were 3 children living with Lulu and William, then he died and the children were with Lulu and her second husband Holbrook.

John Robert Marks
James Creswell
Frederick Lincoln, and James Edwin, sons of Donald Cargill and Mary Ann Creswell are in unmarked graves in plot Old 129, space 1 and 2 respectively. This would place the graves just in front (west) of marker for Robert and Ida Savage which is the flat marker in the center of the photo sent to your e-mail. For more information see the following web sites.

Peter McQueen
Hi:

Peter McQueen is my great, great, great, great grandfather. I was hoping you could eliminate the duplicate "Peter McQueen" entry at Belle Isle Cemetery, Onondaga County, NY . . . also wondering if you would consider transferring Peter to me? My I.D. is: 47047119

Peter was married twice: 1) Emma Racey (Race) and 2) Elizabeth "Betsey" Bowman (my gggg-grandmother).

Done...Karen I was going back to get the middle or nick name of Frances...was it Fannie? You deleted the memorial before I could finish it. So I'm not sure. Let me know and I will add it, probably not until tomorrow though I have to get back to my school work. Have a good night.

RE: Jacob Holmes
My 5 great grandparents were Niels Pedersen Holm and Anna Catharine Philips. Niels immigrated to Canada from Denmark around 1794. Anna immigrated with her parents and sibblings from Germany. Niels and Anna had ten children between 1804 and 1825. The youngest was named Jacob. He and wife Mary and three children are listed in the Canadian Census of 1851 in Blemheim, Ontario. In the US 1870 census, the couple and five children are listed under the name Holnes in Nebraska. In the US 1880 and 1900 censuses, they are in Oregon as Holmes. Niels Holm's father was Peder Nielsen and his mother was Mette Jensdatter. Denmark was in the process of changing from patranimics to fixed surnames and Peder started using Holm. I have to assume that Holm was changed to Holmes because it is more common in English. My line in this family maintained Holm even when the line moved to Iowa.

Thanks for maintaining Jacob's memorial. I believe he is the Jacob Holm who is the youngest child of my 5 great grandfather, Niels Pedersen Holm and his wife Anna Catharina Philips.

Karen,
You are very welcome. I took photos of almost the entire cemetery and just have to reduce the size to make them small enough. If there are any others from the Ukiah Cemetery you need please let me know and I will load them for you.
Thank you!

RE: Van Blarcom
Hi Karen,

Unfortunately, I was just at Cedar Lawn Cemetery yesterday and had checked my messages before you left yours. I don't have a "smart" phone and didn't see this until today. I will double-check the plot next time I'm at the cemetery but it probably won't be until next week.

I'm pretty sure that I would have taken photos of ALL of the markers in the plot, but there is always a chance that one was missed. However, it is also possible that if Florence died after her husband, her name may not have been engraved on the marker, or in this case a footstone may not have been made for her. I have ancestors whose names were not engraved on the headstones but the cemetery has records of them being buried in that plot.

Cedar Lawn has been pretty good about providing information to relatives. You could write to the cemetery and ask for the plot and burial information. I would give them Herbert's known info because it would help them to find the plot number and then to find the plot card to see who else is there. They keep very good records considering the age of the cemetery.

The address is:

Cedar Lawn Cemetery
McLean Blvd. and Crooks Ave.
Paterson, NJ 07503
Phone: (973) 279-1161

I will check again next time I'm there. Oh, and if you do write to them, try to get their daughter's plot location. I have a map and can find any plot in the cemetery.

Vicki

Thanks for linking him.
I found Allen Lewis Broxton in a Weston Cemetery index on-line and this little Harry B. Broxton buried in the same plot with him, so added them to Find A Grave. Are you related to him because I am not.

Hoyt Family
Karen;

I see that you photographed several Hoyt's in Multnomah Co. I photographed Alonzo Hoyt at Columbia Pioneer Cem. or now Columbia Masonic Cemetery and had a woman contact me about Alonzo. What can you tell me about Charles Hoyt 1839-1890 buried in Clackamas County? Alonzo is buried at the small cem. that I mentioned at 99th and Sandy Blvd. Anything that you can tell me about the Hoyt family I would appreciate so as to assist this woman.

Sincerely;

Roland R. Wilkinson #46926691
