Amanda J. Crane
Amanda J. Crane could not be the daughter of Maud C. Buerstetta Crane. Amanda was born in 1857, Maud wasn't born until 1884. It is more likely that Amanda J. Crane was the mother-in-law of Maud than her daughter. Please correct this error.

Fleury Headstone in Monterey
Do you recall, or have any idea, if the names: William and Joann, are on the backside of the Gordon V. and June E. FLEURY headstone? If so, are any dates/years also shown? Thank you! Bulldog

Bryan Anderson
Soren C. Jensen

I am researching my grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History of the 89th Division, Soren C. Jensen served in this unit. He was severely wounded on 11/5/1918.

I am trying to find the graves of as many soldiers who served in this unit as possible. Might you know whether this Soren C. Jensen (Find A Grave Memorial# 115889205) was ever part of the 355th Infantry?

I'd like to think a book could be in the works, although I'm not certain where this project is taking me.

Thank you!

Olson @ Summit Cemetery
I fulfilled a Photo Request for Wayne Olson, that I requested be submitted after taking pic of his father, William.

However, I did not realize there was already a Memorial, created by you, and I do not want to step on your pics. I will remove them and let you upload them in your name if you wish.

I also did not realize he was killed in the line of duty, as a vet I respect this to the nth degree. Funny, I salute vets grave when I am searching for my Claims, he deserved a double salute.

RE: Crookston NE Cemetery
Hi Chuck. I do remember Crookston and was very lucky the gate was open because I did have to drive a very long way through cattle to get there. Someone in town gave us directions and it was still a challenge! After the drive I would have climbed the fence - smile. I'm sorry I don't know who has a key, or even who would have a list of all the names in the cemetery. I wasn't sure I could get back so I photographed everything I could find. I was actually looking for a relative who died in 1905 in Crookston, Paul Didier. Unfortunately there were many unreadable markers. If you do find information on individuals buried there I would be most interested in Didiers. Regards, Suki Davey

Berkdoll in Highland Cem, SD
Hi Chuck,
I just came across this marker Find A Grave memorial # 38892404 for BERKDOLL. I think this is my husbands great, great grandmother, Susanah Arnold Barkdoll who was mar to Jonathan Ogg Barkdoll.
We had info down the line that she died in 1896 Fall River County, SD. Below is an obit I just found for her.

Susanah Arnold Barkdoll
obit from Julie of St David, AZ; November 19, 2002 " June 27, 1896 - Page 414, The Gospel Messenger BARKDOLL - At Hot springs, Fall River co, SD May 12, 1896, sister Susan Barkdoll (nee Arnold), aged 73 years, 1 month and 10 days. She was married to Jonathan Barkdoll Sept 4, 1846; moved to Benton County, IA, in Oct 1854; moved to South Dakota a few years ago where she remained until her death. Her husband preceded her about twenty-one years. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom are left. Her funeral was preached in the Garrison church, by Bro. Stephen Johnson from Re. 14:13 Rachel C Christy."

(note by Carole Guthrie Bonnell; I have them mar 29 Aug 1846 maybe license was taken out she was b 5 April 1810 WV so would be 86 not 73? )

Does this cemetery have records of these burials back to 1896 - or do you know? Thanks, Carole (Guthrie) Bonnell - Spanaway, Pierce Co, WA
