|John Dowdy||RE: Transfer|
Hello I am not family. I research members of the 392nd Bomb Group. I will transfer this memorial to any family member that requests after I am done. No need to transfer the other memorials. Thank You.

Hi My Christine (different spelling) had a middle name of Sophie and was born in Germany. Butz was her maiden name. Might this be the same person?

I checked the records that were given me when we started to take pictures and it shows his death date as 1936. I've updated the date to reflect the one on record. I've also put a plot location for the headstone. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I verified that Archie Orton (not Horton) is indeed buried at Lemoore Cemetery. Unfortunately, his location is unknow except for the section which is section 1. Section 1 in Lemoore is the original cemetery and many stones are missing, or were never there. It started out with just unmarked crosses. If I am VERY lucky I may stumble across Archie and I will try to find him. However, cemetery records show his last name to be Orton. There are several other Ortons buried in Sec 1 so I will find them & see if Archie is near them.

|Mark Smith||RE: Paicines Cemetery|
I just found out from Sharon that I was looking about 100 feet to the west of where the cemetery actually is. I didn't know that you couldn't see the cemetery from the road. Armed with this new information, I went back on Google Earth, and was able to see the actual cemetery. I assume it is still intact.
I hope that someone will get in there and get some photos. We think that we have other relatives in there too, such as Hiram Baker.

|Mark Smith||Paicines Cemetery|
We've e-mailed each other before.
I stopped by the Paicines Cemetery this morning. At least I think I did! Is it on Panoche Road, just across from Brown's Valley Road? That's just a few miles east of Pacines.
If this is it, it has been completely destroyed. There is no sign that this was ever a cemetery.The farmer has plowed it all smooth, and brought in fill. It looks like he is going to expand his vineyard over the cemetery site.
My gggrandmother, Elizabeth Pickerell Smith, wife of John A. Smith, is buried here according to records. I hope someone took photos of the headstones prior to the destuction of the cemetery.
Is this the correct site?
