RE: Robrt Davis entries
Thank you, Marc, for that great observation. I have deleted my 2 entries and sent an edit to the one already established. Don't you hate when that happens!

RE: McNew's info updated.
You are very welcome. I am just trying to be helpful. A distant Ritter relative of mine just found me and gave me information and I decided to back track in history and that is how I found the McNews.

Thanks for adding the link between siblings. How did you do the link to do that .. example below.

View her brother's entry:

I think I will have some more Antoine's and I would like to have them all linked together if I am the originator.

William Zolman
Zolman Family
Hi Marc,

I came across this site and saw some of the work, photos and graves you put up on my side of the family which stems from Jacob through my Dad Robert L. Zolman. On the Jacob side we have most of the artifacts, bibles, etc that have come through that line for over 200 years. We have provided most of the info that Art and Donn received from the Jacob line and they have been good family partners over the years. In fact, The Zolman (Vail line) still owns the Zolman family farm since the 1850's not far from the QUAKER CEM, in Knox,Ohio.

Again thanks for all that you are doing on this site!

Linda Eaves
RE: William & Nancy Eaves
Marc - Nancy was not my biological great grandmother. Nancy was the second wife of William Carl. His first wife, Susan Williams, was the biological mother of my grandfather, Edward, in addition to Elisha, James, Sibby, and Elizabeth. Susan died in 1884, and William married Nancy later that same year. The following year, John R. Eaves was born, the only biological child of Nancy. This is a lot of information only to say that technically, I am not biologically related to Nancy Murphy Eaves; however, she raised my grandfather and his siblings, so I'm sure they were very devoted to her. Thanks for responding so quickly. I'm new to this website, so I'm not sure what having Nancy's information transferred to my profile really means. Can you advise? Thanks!

RE: George & Louisiana McNew's pictures
Hi Marc,
I talked to Mom, Lenora "Deanna" Held Lyons, who has gotten the photos from her cousin, Lou Hudson Pellican. She (Lou) is decended from the Hudson side. Mom has quite a bit of info about McNew's and would be happy to share. Is there anything inparticular you're looking for?? How far back does your McNew info go??

My email is urbeckta@centurylink.net

Take care,

William Roley Taylor
Marc,

Thanks for your work.

I have a correction for the bio of William Roley Taylor: his grandfather, Commodore Richard Taylor (wife Catherine Davis), was not born in England. He was born in Orange Co., VA, to Col. George Taylor & Rachel Gibson (my 5th great grandparents). Ten of George's sons served in the Revolutionary War (he had 12 total, but one died before the war and one was too young). Col. George was the son of James Taylor II & Martha Thompson who were the great grandparents of Pres. James Madison & Pres. (Gen.) Zachary Taylor. So Commodore Richard Taylor was not an uncle of Zachary Taylor but his first cousin one time removed.

I have her as the daughter of James Ripley and Anna West. I am kin through the West line. Although I haven't put Matthias and Barbara on my tree, it looks that they are her grandparents.

Please email me at kkirk6@cableone.net

Thanks.

Tom Kruse
Earl Adair cemetery
My grandfather was buried in Redding Cemetery, Redding, Ringgold County, Iowa.
I don't know anything about the Webster cemetery named Redding. I would think it unusual to name 2 cemeteries the same in Iowa. I cannot find anything of that name in Webster County so I suspect some data entry error.
I would just as soon delete that record if possible. Leave the Ringgold County record alone. The same headstone photo appears in both records.

There are 2 graves for Earl Adair. Yours references #6209565.
Another one is Find A Grave Memorial# 8089169. This one has the correct location for Redding Cemetery and is maintained by Shellie Richardson

Yes, thanks for all you do. All is right with the world.

I added some info to Wilbur B. Zollman and Helen Virginia Carter that was in the notebook created by Wilbur. I found other correlating data for Helen, too.

Zollman descendent
I am a GGGG Grandson of William Zollman (1786-1834) and found you via Debbie Sigrist.
I have a small black notebook by Wilbur Zollman dated 1959.
I am new at this record keeping and have collected quite a few artifacts that my grandmother and her brother had maintained. I'm trying to determine where to distribute my wealth of Zollman information. So I am starting here.
I wish there were a 'library' or something similar. It is too difficult to scan all my stuff. Any suggestions?
If I am able to attend the Zolman reunion in July, I'll certainly bring my records.

Dave Norris
RE: Sylvia (nee Zolman) Metcalf
Hi Marc,

Mary (nee Norris) Metcalf's mother was Sarah Coble Norris, memorial # 40178438. Her father was John Norris. I am pretty sure which John Norris this was but have not seen solid documentation yet. But at least we can link her to her mother.

Assuming Sarah's husband was the same John Norris that was my great-great-grandfather, I would be a distant "half-cousin" of Mary and her children. No transfer needed, but I thank you for offering.

Actually after looking at this are you sure this belongs on this record. She could not have been the daughter pf Nahan and Mary Jane Craft Zolman if she died in 1818. Let me know what you think.
