RE: Mueller Alfred & Hazelle
Judy,
I am pretty sure that I checked all around the marker, including the back side, as I am generally pretty thorough. The two markers are in the same general area of the cemetery, but not next to one another. Unfortunately, I have moved from the area so I cannot return to double check it.

Mueller Alfred & Hazelle
While photographing the tombstone for Alfred & Hazelle I also found another Mueller family monument with no visible individual stones. I added it to Alfred's memorial, but am happy to remove it if you feel it has no bearing on this family.

Salamonia vs. Lancaster name
I got curious because I knew at one time the reason why the name Lancaster was changed to Salamonia. I found it......
Salamonia, Indiana, in Madison Twp., was first named Lancaster, and was platted in the summer of 1839. The original plat covered about five blocks, but in 1904 an addition was filed, covering a half dozen lots to the south of Washington Street. When the post office was established there, the name was changed to Salamonia, because there was another post office in Indiana named Lancaster.

I am seeing the confusion this is creating now because Find A Grave has an option to choose Lancaster cemetery located in Salamonia and simply "Salamonia". Let alone "East Park", "West Park" and "Grandview" which quite frankly no one is acknowledging anyway Not even Find A Grave. Oh and what about "Little Salamonia" for those who don't have a clue???

Like you said "Now, all three cemeteries are collectively called "Salamonia." and you are correct! Yikes!!

RE: Margaret Atkinson
LOL, yes my grandfather Ezra (Woten) Shauver cared for the Salamonia cemeteries for years and fixed a lot of the broken stones so I was well aware of the confusion. I was a teenager so didn't pay much attention at the time. About 20 years ago I got it! Now everyone in the family just calls them old and new Salamonia. As a child I played in them after dark! They both are filled with a lot of my ancestors and very comforting to visit.
Actually the cemetery where my paternal grandmother and family are buried, Lancaster Cemetery, in Huntington Indiana was called Salamonie(y)(named for the early Church of Brethren started around 1708 in Germany) and then changed to Lancaster around 1946. Before all the red tape of government our ancestors changed names of places, including their own surnames. Makes it a little confusing for those of us now.
Thanks for the deletion, as I was asked about it but did not control either one!

He died August 24th, 1946 He was 77 when he died. His dad was Ole Lien(Lee) & mom was Margethe Haukaas.
He died at Rural Opportunity--not it just called Spokane Valley/Opportunity.
He married Johanna.

thank you so much I appreciate everything you do that makes genealogy easier for folks.

Is there something I can do to make it so Herman can be linked to his parents?

Herman Saali
Hi. Me again. Found more notes and mom has Herman listed as born Nov 1902 and died August 15, 1903 d not see cause of death. You asked if I wanted to take over the care of Lawerence Saali site. Right now I would have to decline because of my lack of computer skills and fear that I might mess something up. Herman was my mother Mathilda Saali brother. His father was Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth Waecther Saali wa his mother. I am trying to consolidate all the notes I am finding and make one consice sheet. You will probally be hearing from me again. Just another heart felt "Thank You" for all your work. Have you ever requested if any of your "lookers" would have pictures of the old cemetery. If they would have pictures of some of the old makers and you could see some of the others makers alongside or behind we may be able to mark some of the old graves. I am so mad at myself for not paying more attention when we went out every holiday and decorated the graves. Margaret has a stone in the area that has the oblisk (?) because her original headstone was broken by vandals and my mom had it replaced. Thank you again for all your work.

Lawerence Saali
I am the daughter to Mathilda Saali and Lawerence was her 1/2 brother. I found some of moms' old notes and she has Lawernece birthdate as March 8, 1889. He died from TB. She has his parents as Joseph Saali and Lena. If anyone has other info I would be interested. I may contact you in the future as I go through the notes. There is confusion as to the spelling of Katherine. Not sure if the Catherine listed is the same person or not. If this is enough proof for you to add his birthdate I wish you would. I am the person that told the story of Margaret Saali dying on the day she was supposed to be married. THank you for all the work that you and all the others do for our loved ones. They may be gone but they are not forgotten.

Elizabeth Hartsock Atkinson
Judy,
I am hoping you can fill me in on some information regarding Elizabeth Hartsock Atkinson... I believe she is my 3rd great grandmother but other than what you have posted on this site I can not find anymore information about her. Wondering if she is a relation to you or if you would share your source of information on her. Thank you for any information you can forward

Pearl Gardner -
Judith, Thank you for update on Pearl, but I now find I have her entered twice; once as Henderson and once as Gardner. I am combining the two so one can be deleted and would appreciate it if you would move your obit over to the first one that has the gravestone picture. If I move it then it won't have your name for credit. Thanks for the contribution. We are talking Pinecrest Cemetery Sandpoint Idaho. Penny
