Thanks! Are they both labeled "Simmons" ?

Simmons Cemetery
Can you tell me if the Simmons Cemetery is the same as the one called Liberty Baptist Cemetery?
I've looked up each and the internet sites give different coordinates for each.
Thanks, Linda

Spring Hill Cemetery
As you have probley noticed on this Cemeterys request thingy there is over 113 requests that have not as yet gotten fullfilled and they may not either if the requestors dont call the Spring Hill office for the locations .
So you may have to delete the original request and do over by calling the Cemetery office for location of interment.

Spring Hill Cemetery requests
Hi,
I am one of the people that use to take up requests for Spring Hill Cemetery up till 2011.
Now If there are any pic requests for this Cemetery from Findagrave members , you may have to call the Funeral Home Office and ask for the locations of any requests you need, and this cemetery where ,I was doing pic requests before, will ask for 5 dollars from non-familys for the locations, but if you are from a different state or far away they may not charge you .
This started in 2011 I believe. Which alot of pic takers for the requests are not too happy about.
615-865-1101

So, If you get a location for your request there I would be happy to try to find the headstones you request a pic for.
There are also a few other people who do that here too

Kathy

RE: Richard & Lena Wims Photo
Thank you for your reply and the offer of emailing me the cemetery photos. I would like to have the photos. Send to eucheevalley@gmail.com

I would like the information on the owners of the land. I would love to see it restored but I live in Arizona and can't help in person. I would be supportive any way I can.

Unfortunately the only family member I had contact with in the area died on the 28th of December. He was a distant Wright cousin--1st cousin three times removed. His name was George Richard Wims. I know he has children but do not know where they live.

Are you interested in posting the other markers that you have photographed there? If so, can I help by creating the memorials? Let me know

Thank you ever so much! You are much appreciated!

Mary Jane

Thank you ever so much for taking and posting the photos for my great grand aunt and uncle. Lena was the sister of my great grandfather, George Washington Wright, who is buried at the GrayRock Cemetery.

You are very much appreciated!

P.S. Do you possibly have an over-all photo of the Wims Family Cemetery?

No, just my goal to have all Confederate Veterans and their wife's enter for Cherokee Co cemeteries. This information came from wife's pension records.

RE: Rev. T H Irwin
I am a member of Leagueville Baptist Church where Bro. Irwin pastored at one time; he was a favorite of my Mother and I recall her mentioning him often. I ran across his obit and passed it on to the contributor who did his memorial but don't have a photo of him, but will try to see if one might be available. To my knowledge Bro. Irwin only pastored Independent churches and a connection to an association would be news to me. I appreciate the contact and will get back to you.

RE: James A Cartwright
I have not located a grave for James/Jim Cartwright. But I will continue to be on the lookout for him. I'll re-read the book I have on the Henson's and Cartwrights and see if I can come up with another hint as to where he could be buried.

Best Regards,
Marian

RE: Peter J Swink Geocaching
Neat, you would have liked what I was doing then. This is the geocaching event that I was participating in when I found the marker: http://coord.info/GC1TQBG It was a 30 stage race and the previous stage was at the Britton's Lane battlefield. We had to add up the number of cannons and lamps to get the coordinates to the next stage but apparently missed one lamp and found Mr. Swink's marker instead.

RE: Peter J. Swink
I no longer have my notes that had the GPS coordinates to the gravesite but if I'm looking at it right on google maps, the stone is here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=medon,+tn&hl=en&ll=35.459687,-88.86806&spn=0.00246,0.004823&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.775203,79.013672&vpsrc=6&t=h&z=18 You turn off Hwy 18 onto Riverside drive, pass the house on the left, and there will be an old road on the left just past the house. The stone is maybe 50 feet up the road on the left. I just parked at the beginning and walked.
