RE: Photo Removal
I shopped until I dropped! Then I found Design Memorial Stone Service, LLC., Maumee, Ohio. Their price was half of what the locals like Lang Monument and other on line companies in Delaware wanted. Very good to work with.

RE: Photo Removal
Patty Jo,
I've kept pictures of the original headstones, and the rubbings I did years ago. You can't read the old stones. the new stones are the same height, width, thickness and shape of the originals. The inscription is the same down to the font used. The only thing that is different is the new stones are Gray Granite and not White Marble. I see know reason to keep the old stones on Find a Grave as they serve no purpose. If some visiting the grave site and looked for the old stones they would be disappointed. Thanks for your concern. But they need to go.

Photo Removal
Patty Jo,
If you would be so kind as to delete your pictures of the headstones for Elias B Glenn and Rachael A Glenn, Find A Grave Memorial # 34389022 & Find A Grave Memorial # 34389236 respectively. These stones no longer exist as they were replaced with new ones on 13 Jul 2014.
Thank you,
Hudson Glenn

Jeff Barbour
Cross Roads Cemetery
Hi, my Great Great Grandfather is buried in this cemetery. I would like to visit it someday. Where exactly is it? What is the address. Do you know if there are rules that may prevent me from adding a Confederate Cross of Honor (Iron Cross) to his grave? Valentine Black Poling is his name. He served in the 62nd Virginia Mounted Infantry, CSA. Thank you!

Pisgah Cemetery
Thanks for your reply! It would be the one in Preston County, near Tucker County. During the early years, the family was from and lived in Tucker County and Preston County around Rowlesburg.

Seeking Info
I was told several years ago that my grandmother's first child who died was buried in the Pisgah Cemetery. I do not see her name on the list of interments. Is there any other cemeteries close by that you are aware of? The baby's name was Dana Minor. Thanks for any help you can provide!

RE: Summers Family - Lucy, Matilda and Elihu
Hi, thanks for asking about Mary Frances Cupp. I don't know if she is buried in the same cemetery as her husband, Elihu. I haven't found any death or burial information for her. It's possible the middle name I have is incorrect. Her parents may have been John L (b abt 1808) and Mary Cupp (b. abt 1811). If these are her parents, they were living in the Brandonville area in 1860. Elihu helped raise my gr-gr-grandfather, John Floyd Summers. Elihu was John Floyd's uncle. I am deeply interested in learning more about my Summers and Cupp ancestors. -Bev Bowers

Summers Family - Lucy, Matilda and Elihu
Thanks so much for making a link between Lucy and Matilda Summers to their father, Elihu Summers. With the links you created, all seven of Elihu's children recorded in the 1880 and 1900 U.S. Census enumerations are now linked on Find A Grave to my gr-gr-gr-gr uncle. Thanks for your help.

Cramer Cemetery Location

I was looking for the Cramer Cemetery on and saw where you've added it. You have it located off Cranesville Rd and it's actually off Brandonville Pike on Scott Cramer Rd, Terra Alta, WV and not Cranesville. My father-in-law is a Cramer and they also live on Scott Cramer Rd not far from the cemetery. Thanks for all the work you put into this.

Marshall & Elizabeth Frankhouser
Thanks for providing the photo of the Frankhouser headstone. Marshall & Elizabeth were my great grandparents on my mother's side.
Are you related to Frankhousers? I seem to recall my mother had a cousin named Patty Jo.

Thank you for including a lot of family information in your memorials. Most of your line are really distant people who are in my family tree. My parents were born in Preston Co., WV and I live in WY - trips to WV are infrequent and Find A Grave keeps me connected.

Thanks for all your work,
