Moore Family Cemetery, Tucker Co WV
Hello - I have some relatives there [ex. Robert Waugh Knapp # 54648156] and see that you took photos of the cemetery. However, there are no GPS coordinates or directions and wondering if you can provide either or both. Thanks!

Love that you've got a picture of Homer Floyd Fansler's grave, Patty Jo.

It's something that he would have been very grateful to you for posting. :)

Arnold and Susanna Bischoff Schaefer
Hello, I am searching for graves for my 4x grandparents Arnold and Susanna Bischoff Schaefer. The Aurora Documents from the St Paul's Lutheran church in Preston Co indicates they registered their children there between 1814 to 1818. Arnold was also christened there on 19 June 1803 at 16.

Susanna's maiden name is Bischoff and one of their children had sponsors who were Heinrich and Caterina Bischof who are buried in the Carmel Cemetery. They are probably related to Susanna.

Arnold and Susanna Bischoff Schaefer's son Jacob W Shaffer eventually moved to Barbour CO where he raised his family who are closer descendents to me. Jacob W is buried in the Mt Cassel Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Valley Furnace.

Schaefer may be spelled Shaffer, Shafer, or Shaver.

If you can help me locate these graves, I would appreciate it.

Wilmoth Cemetery
Hi Patricia,

Would it be possible for you to take a photo of Pvt. Noah Lunsford's gravestone? He is my great-great grandfather.

He's interred in the Wilmoth Cemetery and has a Civil War Marker. He was a private in the VA 31st.

For the record, here is his missing Find A Grave information.
Noah Lunsford
BIRTH 28 DEC 1837 • Pendleton County, (W) Virginia, USA
DEATH 14 FEB 1916 • Bartow, Pocahontas County, West Virginia, United States

More information about him is available on the Nancy Fansler Public Member Tree on Ancestry.

Thanks so much, Patricia!

Jacob was my 2nd great grandfather. His son Charles, and Mary Jane Howell, were the parents of George Benson Herron. George and Dolly Herron were the parents of my father, Paul Herron. I saw Jacob's info on Find A Grave.

RE: re your photos
Hi Patty, Thanks for your help, but I do not want the memorial transferred to me. This family is very very distantly related to me..but I enjoy researching the family tree puzzles on I do like to add photos when I can, but am aware of copyright issues so ask permission before adding them to My tree has a few people from "almost outer space", but as I have time to research and like to help solve puzzles and hopefully help other researchers. Kind Regards Barb

Bevery Hills Cemetery
If you would call Beverly Hills and get the section and lot numbers of your requests, I'll try to get your photos before the weather changes too much. Please make sure there are markers to photograph.

I shopped until I dropped! Then I found Design Memorial Stone Service, LLC., Maumee, Ohio. Their price was half of what the locals like Lang Monument and other on line companies in Delaware wanted. Very good to work with.

RE: Photo Removal
Patty Jo,
I've kept pictures of the original headstones, and the rubbings I did years ago. You can't read the old stones. the new stones are the same height, width, thickness and shape of the originals. The inscription is the same down to the font used. The only thing that is different is the new stones are Gray Granite and not White Marble. I see know reason to keep the old stones on Find a Grave as they serve no purpose. If some visiting the grave site and looked for the old stones they would be disappointed. Thanks for your concern. But they need to go.

Patty Jo,
If you would be so kind as to delete your pictures of the headstones for Elias B Glenn and Rachael A Glenn, Find A Grave Memorial # 34389022 & Find A Grave Memorial # 34389236 respectively. These stones no longer exist as they were replaced with new ones on 13 Jul 2014.
Thank you,
Hudson Glenn

Jeff Barbour
Cross Roads Cemetery
Hi, my Great Great Grandfather is buried in this cemetery. I would like to visit it someday. Where exactly is it? What is the address. Do you know if there are rules that may prevent me from adding a Confederate Cross of Honor (Iron Cross) to his grave? Valentine Black Poling is his name. He served in the 62nd Virginia Mounted Infantry, CSA. Thank you!

Pisgah Cemetery
Thanks for your reply! It would be the one in Preston County, near Tucker County. During the early years, the family was from and lived in Tucker County and Preston County around Rowlesburg.

Seeking Info
I was told several years ago that my grandmother's first child who died was buried in the Pisgah Cemetery. I do not see her name on the list of interments. Is there any other cemeteries close by that you are aware of? The baby's name was Dana Minor. Thanks for any help you can provide!
