Thanks for the picture of Marmaduke. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Woolbright, who is in my family. You do not happen to have a picture of her or the family, do you? Thanks again.

I see on the above mentioned memorial that you placed a picture. This is my grandmother on my Mother's side. I had never seen this picture before and am wondering if you were related to my Grandmother and her daughter, my Mother Martha Jane Miller Duff....I am the youngest child of Martha and was priveleged to meet Grandma Miller when I was five years old, Also my entire family had traveled from Idaho when Grandma took sick, and I was present when she passed on. My mother asked for the bolster pillow grandma passed away on. Years later, when recovering the bolster pillow, they found a "feather crown" perfectly formed and intact. I would love to know how you came into possession of the picture, and will give you sincere thanks and appreciation for your doing so. Grandma passed on at 88 years and my Mother at the age of 99 and three quarters months....Sincerely, DeLoy William nov1933@mail.com

RE: Joseph Newton Spence
I sent a quick note before I researched back through my orig post to you and why I did what I did. Seems that there were duplicates of which yours did not have a gravesite. There wasn't anything related to dates, photographs or the like. The point was to have a photo on whomever decided to keep the memorial. As a contributor to Find A Grave and a retired Accountant it was important for information to be exact. I have found that since my retirement I have continued this dedication and exactness in my ancestry hobby. As I mentioned I will make sure that all I have is accurate prior to my posts in the future.

So sorry that I didn't get the info correct. Forgive me for the error. The photos often do not have dates...I will remember next time not to post photos for your memorials.

It appears that you and I have located the same two photos on Find A Grave. There is another one for Spence and his Find A Grave# 91195148 reveals additional information on where he is buried plus an 'older' photo of Spence and his wife. Personally, all the work that everyone does on Find A Grave is exemplary, however, having duplicates makes confusion. I do hope that you will consider removing your memorial since it has no burial information and the other has a personal photo. This could mean that the other memorial has a personal connection possibly. At any rate, I am sure that you and other contributor will get it all worked out. Having duplicates is also akin to 'chalk on a chalkboard' for me because there are so many duplicates all through Find A Grave. How frustrating it seems to be for me. Thanks again

William Wesley Sell
I have noticed that this a duplicate of another William Wesley Sell Find A Grave#106664980 which I added the photo of him to that memorial because it has the location and place where William Sell is buried. I suppose that you and the other contributor will have to sort that all out. In my opinion, there shouldn't be more than one memorial. Just letting you know.

Hello Rick,

Could you please delete the photo of Peter Robidoux that you placed on his memorial? I found a higher quality version of the same picture at the Kansas State Historical Society website and posted it. I think they have the original in their collection.

Thank you for posting it in the first place.

I am a great-grandson of Peter.

Thank you,

Steve McDonald

I see you posted a portrait of her. Where did you get this picture of her. She was a sister to my great great grandfather William Thoamas Parish. I am looking for a picture of him, he died when my great grandmother was only six years old, Dora Miles Parish. Dora looked a lot like her aunt. thanks so much, Linda Ellington

RE: Lige A Bates #21061505
Thanks for checking, it is a small world. Lora's 2nd wife, Minerva Lewis was my great grandaunt. Her 1st husband was a cousin of Elijah's, Norman Esra Bates. Alma was a Philpot. The Philpots, Bates, and Lewis families married back and forth. I know Lora was a doctor. If you didn't already know, he is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Minerva (Big Fork, Polk, Arkansas) #80426910.

Terry :)
