Betty, I have tried to make the corrections that you asked for and have transferred all of the family of E H Inzer that I managed. I prefer not to delete the memorial of Fannie Inzer but will make it a cenotaph. I have deleted her family links. Hope this helps.

Mary Francis Montgomery Inzer
Ms. Phillips,
I always appreciate folks who do such research as yours. I would like to point out that for Fannie Montgomery Inzer there was already a Findagrave site created by member 47651599 a year before you added one. Having two sites for the same person is confusing, particularly when the names are listed differently. Would you mind adding your information to the original site, or ask that member to transfer her site to you and delete one of the sites. Findagrave is getting increasingly jumbled what with people adding all kinds of stuff, some not even well researched.
Thanks,
Clark Vinson #48052760

I am always happy to transfer but my input is precise as obit and if there is no such cemetery, which your knowledge far exceeds mine. Then Find A Grave should delete the cemetery from all records.
side note, I have tracked Phillips in Lincoln Co. Tn/Madison Co. Al. to Tx. has your tracking covered any of these

RE: Flora Gentry
Thank you so much for the information. I did find them-Aunt Flora, Uncle Comer, and their son C.A. I had put C.A. in Forest Crest, but for some reason, I had Flora and Comer in the other. I corrected the location and requested pictures of the 3 graves.

RE: Middle name vs. Nickname
The probem is having having a name in quotes, "Dovie". The name fields don't handle the quotes well. I know that it's common for someone to be known by middle name and frequently contributors signify that by putting the name in quotes. I've brought this issue up in the discussion forums. A couple ideas were expressed based on if the name was in quotes or not on the marker. If in quotes then the thought was should be in nickname field, if not, then middle name should be entered without the quotes and notation made in the bio section that she was known by Dovie. My suggestion was just that, a suggestion.

Charles Temple
Venable/Price families
Hello Betty -

My name is Charles Temple and I am a Price descendant. My grandmother was Lottie Florence Price Temple, daughter of Marquis D. L. (Pal) Price, who was the brother of Sarah Price, wife of Hugh Venable.

Grandma Temple told me many family stories, including one about Hugh Venable. Her father was the only one of seven brothers to survive the Civil War. When he returned in 1865, he took over the family farm of over 1000 acres southwest of Edom, Texas, and did much to support his mother, sisters, and widowed sisters and sisters-in-law. Among those he helped was his disabled brother-in-law Hugh Venable. He gave Hugh some farm land to work and saw to it that he and his family had what they needed to survive. Grandma Temple told me that on many occasions she saw Hugh pull a wagon up to their corn crib and fill it, with no payment expected.

She also told me that both the Prices and Venables had Cherokee ancestry. Do you know anything about that?

Hope this story means something for you. I've got a lot of Price family stories and research to share if you're interested.

Best wishes,

Charles Temple chastemple@peoplepc.com

Hi Betty,
Possibly through weather conditions, efforts by others and some brushing by me, I was able to get a more readable photo. I don't intend to offend and think cameras have improved over the past 12 years. Merry Christmas and thank you for your work on findagrave!

Traci's Mom
Token you left for Traci Fields
I had set a goal to try to get 5,000 tokens for my daughter, Traci, by her birthday which is November 20th. I let this known on findagrave and my goal was passed on by many people. Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends Traci, now has 5,570 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is less then a week away. You have helped achieve that goal and I appreciate it very much.

I'm in awe of the love and kindnesses shown by findagrave friends to help in this loving endeavor.

My Traci was so special. To show more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,

"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".

Traci was a person of strong faith and GOD took excellent care of her He helped her through all the hardships went through and he helped her family have the strength to support her! Her faith never waivered.

We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. I will try to get to everyone's site and leave a flower/token for at least one of their loved ones. However, there are so many of you, it will probably take me quite a while.

RE: USS CYCLOPS/Sassybelle

Hello, Betty:
You are welcome for the flowers, but no need to thank me. I was tickled to find your VC for the Alabamians on the Cyclops! Good for you! I can't remember now how I found your page, but after adding your 4 boys to my list, I then found your precious Sassybelle and added her to my critter list. What a sweetheart:) They add so much to our lives, don't they.

I make my tokens, and I thank you for the kind words about them. I hang a little red heart on those I make, and you certainly are welcome to any you want to use. It's all about sharing here, isn't it. (Well, maybe it's secret to some:) haha

So nice to meet you! I'm so glad you came by for a visit:) I'll be stopping by occasionally and try to catch birthdays and angel days. Some days I can spend hours here; others, not so much.

*hugs*

Essex
Katie Peoples
Thank you for all the research you did to confirm her maiden name. I really appreciate it. I have changed her middle name to Lee and her maiden name to Duckett on her memorial and made a note in the bio section that the name Katie Cade Peoples is on her gravestone.

She is buried at a cemetery in Trussville, AL so next time I'm in that area, I'll stop by the funeral home there and see if their records indicate from where the name Cade came. Maybe they have a form that shows it as her middle name or her name from a previous marriage. Again, thank you for taking the time to do so much research.

Peoples
Thanks for the info about Katie and her husband. Her gravestone says Katie Cade Peoples, so if Duckett is her maiden name, then I wonder what Cade is. Maybe a middle name or a married name from a previous marriage? I will research her a bit more and try to find out.

Donald Banks
I received your email about Alta being linked as spouse. I did not add the link for spouse, someone else did. Thank you for calling attention to this. Have a blessed day.

Greetings,

Find A Grave contributor Betty Venable Phillips has made a suggestion to you
regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Donald Banks.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=57144437

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
You are suggesting that Alta Banks is the spouse of Donald Banks, when this is
his mother. In the obituary his wife is listed as "Mary" and may not be
deceased as yet. Just thought you would like to review this.
Thanks for all you do for Find-A-Grave. These memories will be cherished
forever.
God Bless

You are very welcome It was a pleasure to help you with this. It is my goal to help as many as possible find their lost loved ones. They are hard to find in that Cemetery if it wasn't for a transcript listing them in order you could spend a lot of time walking that cemetery
