James Newton Killingsworth
James Newton Killingsworth was my grandfather. I was just wondering why his name had "Newt" inserted? In all of the years that I knew him, I never heard anyone call him that. He always went by J.N. Just wondering where that came from.

I've transferred as you requested. We've got a great group of volunteers at this cemetery, very active with documenting and photographing memorials.
If James (or his wife) were in the military at any point, please let me know, and I will add them to the collection for this location.
Best wishes in your endeavors.

John Andrew & Patience Killingsworth
Hi Chris,
I am the daughter of John Terris Killingsworth and Nancy Lou Anderson (both living), granddaughter of Therla Patrick and Lillian (Boettcher).

Do you have any information further back than John Andrew & Patience?

Also, how are we related? So interesting to find this site and all the history, thank you so much for all the work you've put into it!

RE: Leah Patsey Tennis Hoffman
Hi... Leah is my husbands Great Grand Aunt, sister to his Great Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Mahalie Jane Tennis.
Your name sounds familiar, so at sometime we must of connected on something. I am not very good about keeping those records. But I know I should.
Always nice to find a family connection.
Hope that you are having a great day.

RE: Arnolds

I finally saw what you were talking about, and I think I have straightened it out. I did not realize that the way I worded the text that it said that CC and Bonapart were father and son. You are right CC and Bonapart were brothers and both the sons of Samuel. To save confusion I just hyperlinked Bonapart as son of Samuel. I am going to email you about possible family ties via the Tennessee Dodson family.

Ronald Halford

You questioned me about the relationship about Christopher Columbus Arnold and Bonapart Arnold.

If you know that they are brothers I will change the memorial but I was told by another researcher that Christopher who is 24 yrs older than Bonapart was his father. I personally have no documention on file to verify either and may have to investigate this further, to make sure I get the correct information in the memorial.
I also noticed you appear to be related to the Dodson/Dotson family. I have Arnold and Dotson in my genealogy, and would like to see if we have mutual relatives. My lines come from NC and Tenn during that era of time.

You are very welcome! I was in Alabama from my home in Texas doing genealogy on the Jones family and tried to fill as many requests as possible. Just glad I could help.

I will try to get your photo requests done some time. To my knowledge, I am the only one who photographs this cemetery (which is fine). It probably won't be this weekend, but hopefully the next one if the weather is okay.

Re: Photo Request - Gavilan Hills
Just viewed Memorial# 85981288 for Stoughton Hallowell. I see another contributor has added a headstone photo. Thanks for claiming my photo request back on Feb. 28th, appreciate it. However, since there is already a photo added, please 'unclaim' my photo request. Thanks kindly.

Photo Request - Gavilan Hills
Just found another source giving different dates for Stoughton A. Hallowell - Memorial# 85981288. Hope I caught you in time, before you've gone searching. Most likely his dates are 1851 to 1879 (instead of 1879 to 1951). Sorry about that!!!

Linder Family
Hi Chris, are you related to Martha Jane Haun Linder and her husband John Usher Linder? I see you created their listings here on Findagrave. I am a cousin descended from Martha's younger brother William. I have Martha's parents on findagrave and wanted to ask you to connect them in the "family links" so that Martha will show up on her parents pages. Her father was John Henry Haun (#58670928) and her mother was Lydia Jane Fisher Haun (#58670905). Or, if are not related and don't mind, could you transfer the profiles to me and I can make all the appropriate updates. My profile # is 47251194. If you are a cousin I LOVE to share info with you. Do you by chance have a photo of Martha and John?

Rosedale Cemetery (Charles Dodson)
I am going to try and fulfill 70+ requests for Rosedale Cemetery. The man was patient to look up a handful but I'm thinking if you could call and then enter the plot into findagrave, I'll go out and look for the markers off the plot you provide. I didn't get the impression he wanted to look up 70 something records so I'm hoping the individuals could make their call so I'm not bogging them down. The number to the office is 580-436-8081. Thank you Renee

RE: James and Sarena McCollum
There were a few other McCollum graves nearby and I took those photos too. I can send you the names and dates if you want them. If you put memorial pages on findagrave and/or post photo requests for them I can add the photos same day.
Best Regards.
