Many thanks for this photo
The Middlewoods are not my direct line but I was interested in them as they came from and visited over the years their relatives living in the same village as mine, Ulleskelf in West Yorkshire, on several occasions. The family of George Middlewood emigrated to USA in 1832 with most returning to the UK, and Mary the youngest marrying into my Wheatley family. Her son Mathew Middlewood Wheatley also emigrated.

This photo gives me information on the family of Mathew Middlewood who stayed in the USA and appears to have become a wealthy man, burying many children during his life.

Thank you for your time

Gillian

Thank you, I think the individual stones will be fine. I am just happy to have found some family. I was hoping to find Ada's brother, Horatio, but he must be buried elsewhere. Thanks again

I was unable to enlarge the photographs enough to read the inscription and was hoping you could add the inscription in the comments section to preserve it?
I also added her husband.
Thank you.

RE: Sarah Drexel Van Rensselaer
Glad you like it. Her photo was on a page I was reading, and I found it very arresting... no society coquetry, something about the straightforward way she was looking at the camera, and seemingly, the viewer. She was rather regal-looking and I was glad to see you had her on the site so I could add her handsome portrait. Your great great grandma had quite an aura!

Just wanted to do you the courtesy of letting you know I have added a pic to her memorial. No relation to me, just came across her picture while doing something else.
