Waurika transfers
Hi Joyce,

I made the transfers you requested. Welcome to Find a Grave!

FYI, it is much easier to make transfers by using the edit link on the memorial you want to have transferred. This saves having to look up either the memorial number or your member number, which makes it easier to accomplish on both ends of the transaction.

Good luck and good hunting!

I transferred her memorial to you. I took the tombstone picture while looking for a MAY family member's tombstone. I thought the tombstone may be unreadable in the future, so glad to know it is in your good hands! Doug McBroom (Aurora CO)

RE: Mildred Lively Scott
I rarely check these messages. I see that someone created a memorial for you which is against Find A Grave rules. I'm happy to transfer MY original page once the other is deleted.

I always check before making an entry and there was not one for him at the time I made it. But I have deleted my earlier entry.

RE: Clara M Guise Lima
Dear Joyce,
Thank you so much for letting me know that the photo I added to your memorial is your Aunt Clara. She is in my local rural cemetery. It is a quaint and whimsical cemetery surrounded by gorgeous Point Reyes National Seashore lands and Golden Gate Parks.
It's always nice to make a connection.

RE: Don & Margie Smith
You're welcome. I do not live close to Groom but was near the area and decided to pick up some of the about 30 requests. Had looked for Don & Margie but could not find them and just as I was leaving, saw about 5 graves in an apparently newer section across the road from the original "full" cemetery and just to see who was there went across and there was Don and Margie. A very easy cemetery to search in--not large and very organized.

The transfer was completed. I hope you will add some photos of him and maybe something a little more in the way of a remembrance. I know alot of Marines that would be interested.

Thanks for his service and your family's sacrifice.

RE: Dorcille Lucy Kuykendall Smith
Joyce, I want to draw to your attention (if you don't already know) that Bon Summerhill had a second wife, Beulah E. Summerhill, who deceased in 2004. I was not able to transfer that memorial to you because I didn't create it, but I did post her headstone photos on her memorial.

To update - the grave sites are as follows.
Left to right:

Beulah E. Summerhill, John Ann Booker, Flora & Rev. Bon Summerhill, Dorcille L. Smith, Alma B. Roach and Othell Rupert Roach.

Directly in front of Dorcille is Toy Leroy Kuykendall and to his left are Alta & Walter Kuykendall.

An observation: I noticed that everyone, except Alma & Othell, had the same exact granite stone. Alma's appears to be a very close match.
Also, the headstones of Toy, Dorcille and Beulah are identical - even the floral design. The headstones of John Ann Booker and Flora & Bon Summerhill have the same floral design.

I am so glad you were able to connect the dots! It was my pleasure to help.

Kind regards,

RE: Dorcille Lucy Kuykendall Smith

I am so sorry to hear about the family tragedy. It sounds as though you have done extensive research. It has been my pleasure to provide the headstone photo of Dorcille Lucy Kuykendall Smith.

For your records: Her grave site is in section "I", not far from the west side of the cemetery road (toward the southern end of that road) when looking at the Section "I" map. She is resting between Flora M. & Rev. Bon D. Summerhill and Alma B. Roach. Directly in front of her is Toy Leroy Kuykenall and to his left are Alta C. and Walter L. Kuykendall.

God bless,

RE: Transferring Ownership

I transferred both sites to you yesterday. Just wanted to check that you got them okay.

How are you related to Eunice Bentley? She is a distant relation to my dad who is 88 years old. We lived in Stinnett when I was growing up and I remember her.
