C N & Mindie Green Noey
Mindie Green Noey, wife of C N Green, buried at Oak Hill Cemetery was a paternal great aunt of mine. Their marker had a photo inset into the headstone & I am wondering if you happened to take any close up shots of it. She died before I was born when my father was a young man so I am really hoping you did so that I will have a picture of her. Thanks for taking & posting this picture. I went to this cemetery many years ago & took pictures once but lost the rolls of film they were on before they could be developed.

All best wishes!

Mary Jane Burts
Thank you sooooo much to taking and posting the photo of Mary Jane Burts' headstone. She was the oldest daughter of my 2 great grandparents, John Ryan and Susan Zerlean Johnson Burts. Zerlena is buried in the Suggs cemetary but I am having a hard time finding John Ryan; and my great grandfather William Charles Burts; he was the 2nd born of the 7 children. I really appreciate all your hard work and time. If you have any information on this branch of my family I would greatly appreciate receiving it. Thank you again, Suzee Burts

RE: Picture request
Ed, thanks for your note about the head stones in Willowhole Cemetery for William, Jane, and Harriet Moore.

This has been a challenging research effort, and every detail/discovery helps.

Harriet is the daughter of William and Jane. I believe the broken headstone that you found would be Harriet, and the discrepancy on the exact dob is not anything to worry about. Whether it's 26 July 1881 or 6 July 1881, it's close enough for me. There's been a typo somewhere.

Yes, please do post the photo of Harriet's head stone, even if the stone is broken.

My research shows Harriet's dob as 1854, based on census records.

William O. Moore, 1856-1909, was Harriet's brother. Did you happen to get a photo of his head stone?

There were other children of William Moore and Jane B. Moore, but I can't find one that would match the broken stone with the dates, 1848-1881.

Thank you for the help you've given me with this information and the photos.

RE: Vaughan surname
I went back to your Vaughan page and didn't recognize any names linked to us YET! I'm still searching. Thank you for taking these pics for me. I am going tomorrow (weather permitting) to take some requests. I love doing this, I just wish my grandparents were still here...they would have been estatic to see all this!

Thanks again for all your help!
