James McCoy
Rebekah, Thanks for your message about James McCoy. I wanted to see if I could sort through things and get dates for James McCoy buried in Great Bethel.

The early Uniontown area settler James McCoy was supposed to have been born about 1720-1725 which makes him about age 60 for the Revolutionary War which was a concern but I guess not impossible.

However, this James McCoy is reported to have died in 1801 or 1803 and to have been buried in a "South Union Baptist Cemetery", Fayette County, which at that early date pretty much had to be Great Bethel. And that death date rules out the War of 1812 so one has to wonder if there were two James McCoys in the area at that time, or some other explaination. I have seen no record that there was a son of James also named James who could have fought in both wars. So it is beyond me to figure things out.

Someone else has added a memorial for James McCoy 1720-1801, in Oak Grove Cemetery which is impossible unless he were re interred there after 1867 or so.

Gail M. Ogle
FAG # 115626561 James Hilburn Miller
This is my Great-great grandfather. His birthdate is 6-25-1842, Dunbar, Fayette, Pa and his death was 1-23-1909, Scalp Level, Cambria, Pa.
His wife Sarah Catherine Wills Miller, is buried at the Roebuck Cemetery. Several of his children are also buried at the Roebuck Cemetery, although there are no headstones, except for his wife, his son Jacob, and his daughter-in-law, Jane Roebuck Miller, who was married to Samuel Miller. I am new to Find A Grave, and unsure how to add this information. I have copies of the death certificates for, James, Sarah and Jane. Also, Andrew Miller Find A Grave #115626517 and Catherine Hiles Miller Find A Grave #115626534, are the parents of James. I was recently in PA, and had wanted to visited the Johns/Liston Cemetery, but due to a serious car accident that I was in a year ago, I was unable to visit, several of the cemeteries, due to the locations.

Benjamin Boone #96495799
Could you please let me know how you placed this Benjamin Boone (1706-1762) in the Hillside Cemetery? You also have included an "inscription" of WWI which simply doesn't fit with the birth and death dates.

I doubt the validity of this location as the burial plot of Benjamin Boone 1706-1762. But regardless of my opinion, this memorial needs clarification. How do you provide an inscription with no photograph of the tombstone?

Rebekah,

As per your instructions about transferring management of my granduncle from you to me, I went to John's memorial and clicked the "Edit" tab in the upper right corner but it would not allow me to go any further. Please let me know what to do now. Richard A. L. Ziers

RE: Anna Owen
Thanks for the message, I've entered over 50 obituaries in different cemeteries and no one has ever said anything, they have always been accepted. I wondered why there wasn't an "edit obit".
Thanks again,
Karen

James McCoy
Thank you for your response to my submission of dates for James McCoy -
Great Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Uniontown, PA. I have no proof for this submission and that is fine to not post the dates. In my Ancestry tree: LeRay Family Tree, people have submitted "stories" that I have copied over which indicated to me that this was the same person but again, not actual proof. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
