Henry Michael Stephens children?
I believe we have "spoken" briefly before. Thank you also for the wonderful photo you posted on the Memorial for Henry Michael Stephens to honor his sad death.

My ggg grandfather was Henry's brother John Patton Stephens. I manage the Memorials for their parents Daniel Stephens and Nancy Couch. Please see the NEW photos I have received permission to post on Daniel's Memorial 21308321

Question please, re Henry's son:
John Fletcher Stephens
I cannot find a Texas Death Certificate for him. Do you have his death date and LOCATION?

Thank you for photo!
Thank you so much for the great photo you posted of the double tombstone on the Memorials for John Louis Throneberry # 21308367, and his 2nd wife (my relation) Elizabeth "Bettie" Stephens Throneberry # 21308369.

I now manage their Memorials and have written Bios for them. Working on Linking all their children to them. Your photo really enhances their Memorials.

RE: Criswell/Creswell
I just remembered something! There is a Creswell/Criswell cabin in Abbeville County, SC that was moved from Troy, SC. Outside of that I don't know much about it. I've tried to contact the historical society and county offices but they told me they didn't know anything about it. It was apparently moved sometime in the 1970s. I've visited the cabin and there's a sign that says it's supposed to be open as a museum but the door had a chain and padlock on it. Everyone I talked to had no idea who owned it or that it even existed which is odd because it sits on a small lot just one street over from Main Street.

Hi Linda,

Yes, I am researching this family. Rebecca was my gggrandmother. She had a daughter name Margaret, which was my ggrandmother on my father's side of the family.

Are you related?
Do you have information on them?
Do you have any pictures of the family?

RE: Criswell/Creswell
I wish I could say that I have some answers for you. Records cab be tricky in SC because they weren't particularly meticulous with them. I've found the census records on to be fairly helpful, check with your local library to see if they have a free version you can use. Also check out a website called; there you can search his name and maybe find him in a family tree and hopefully, find someone who can point you in the right direction.

Happy Hunting,

I did an "edit" linking her husband's memorial. I tried to also correct the birth date but Find A Grave would not allow 2 edits. Her birth date in the memorial is 1885 but the birth date on her burial marker is 1855 (probably a typo). Thanks.

No problem. If you happen to have any members of the Clayton line contact you, I would love to speak to them regarding family photos.

Linda, what does the "ss/w Levi, J.W., A.M., and John" denote on Mary's Find a Grave link? I am attempting to find John's place in a Dozier family tree. Thank you.

Celia Ann Moody Meeks
Celia Ann was the daughter of Hickman Moody and Mary Louise Andrews. Hickman died and is buried at Fort Gibson (sometimes referred to as Fort Blunt) from smallpox 2 Oct 1863. They are all three listed on the 1860 federal census for Kaufman county. I hope the information helps. Anita

The information I got was from Texas sources, most from the inventory of the Weaver cemetery. I live in Oregon so I have to depend on others for their accuracy. I will try and find out more information from some of the family members who are also researching relatives.
