RE: Louise Mansker
Hello and thank you for your interest. I would like to email you if you wish. There is a lot of unanswered questions and I would like to share what I have. The Boykin family is an important one for me and I have researched for many years. You may have information I don't have and I no doubt can help you.
I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Porter Family
There is no proof that Stark was the middle name of William S. Porter (1852-1905). The death certificate for his son William Elmer Porter records father's name as William Steel Porter. However, the informant was someone who may have not had correct information. His middle name may have been Stark, Steel, or something else. I'm trying to find more proof.

I only have in my notes that Hazel died Aug 20, 1974 in Lafayette and she was NOT listed in Maple Lawn's cemetery listing (main cemetery in Thorntown) I can't find her in the Social Security Death Index, so I'm not sure her date of death is even correct. You could try calling Hazel's daughter-in-law, Betty, widow of Grover F. Birge (765) 344-0141.

Hazel's daughter, Mary Irene Birge, wife of Donald Allen Dale of Darlington may still be living, but I couldn't find an address or phone number.

RE: Albert Ainsworth
Hi Brenda; I'm sory but I don't know who Albert's wife was. I haven't been able to find out too much about him. What I do know is that his mother Eunice married my ggg grandfather, Elijah Wilson, Sr. (also Bethany Cemetary)--it was the 2nd marriage for them both, & he enlisted in the Civil War with my gg grandfather, Elijah Wilson, Jr., his stepbrother. Does this clarify things at all for you? Hope so. Let me know if I can be of any more help. Carol

I read your email again, and the Indian woman and Sarah E. Thrailkill Crass are the same woman. This was his grandmother. There is also a picture of the tombstone of an apparent son that I have also listed. Let me know if I can do anything else to help you with this.

My apologies for being so late in responding. I do not get on the Find a Grave website too often. This tombstone is on our property. We bought our home about six years ago, and we do not know much about the burial sites, other than what I posted about the gentleman who stopped that one time. I can take more pictures if you need me to. My home email address Please put a message in the subject matter so I don't delete without reading first. I get so many junk emails anymore.

Hi Brenda

If John Layman is buried with Jemima, he does not have a headstone. I was given the directions to an internet website what had interments for this cemetery and was adding them to the cemetery that someone had started, but there were not many entered when I started the job. I stopped when so many other started doing it as well as we were making triplicates of people. I have the listing, but not the website anymore, and intent to finish when the cemetery seems to calm down, so I will keep an eye out for John Layman and let you know if I find him buried somewhere else within the cemetery.

As far as the Brown's are concerned, I have very little information on them but they are my husband's line and were in Ohio. I will let you know about them as well if I ever get to work on them again.

RE: Ellen Mcdonald #10484118
Hi Brenda,

Here's the thing, I don't know where I came up with Hall. I originally had Mary Ellen McDonald. Then for some reason I changed it to Ellen Hall McDonald.

Now if you check for her, I have changed her back to Mary Ellen Brown McDonald. I came up with this conclusion from your note, and also from her son, Hugh Milton McDonald's obit from The Kirklin Press. He is buried at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort, and I added a link to him from James and Mary Ellen's memorials.

Thanks for the inquiry on Ellen. It gave me the nudge I needed to link some more of my Oak Hill people to their parents and spouses.

Don't be afraid to question any of my memorials. I will try my best to figure them out and make any corrections needed.

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for the corrections on Ida Baker. I have made the changes to her memorial. The corrections made it a lot easier to add family links.

RE: Eliza Knott
I can get a photo of the grave marker for this person is you wish, but finding an obit prior to 1890 is almost impossible. They have newspapers for Clinton County dating back to 1890, and that is it. I am very sorry, but when I goto the library, I will see if I can't find something. Take care & GOD Bless, Marcus
