Les Young
parents of Mary McKeehan Payne?
Dale, Thank you for your contributions to the Payne Cemetery. Two years ago, you created a memorial for Mary McKeehan Payne. I believe that she is a daughter of Brewer and Margaret Patton McKeehan. Can you confirm?

Also, I have often wondered if there is a blood connection between Brewer McKeehan and Mary McKeehan Patton. Do you know?

Jennie Williams
Hello Dale,
I was curious if you had any information about Jennie Williams, who was the first wife of John Walter Tipton Lacey memorial # 133726116. I think she died in about 1907. Do you know where she is buried? I would think that she would have been buried in the Lacey Cemetery in Tennessee, since that is where virtually all of her husband's family is, but I honestly have no idea. I would visit the cemetery and look for her myself but I live too far away. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

We may find more family member in the Spring of 2016 when we plan to survey the entire site using ground penetrating radar equipment. We expect this survey will be in co-operation with East Tennessee State.

Thank you for your contribution to Find-a-Grave. Nave Family Historical Soc. We also had a duplicate memorial for Margaret which has been removed. Dr. James L. Nave Ph.D.

Marion Hodge
Will Mottern Cemetery
My name is Marion Hodge. I am a new member of Find A Grave.

I live in High Point, NC, but I was born in Johnson City, TN, and grew up in Elizabethton.

Since your list of interments has been posted online, my father-in-law and brother-in-law have been buried in Will Mottern Cemetery, so I will soon send you the information to add to your list, but I first want to make sure I accurately record the relevant information.

I have contacted Stanley Mottern (who told me that he and a cousin have incorporated the cemetery) for permission to do some basic maintenance work at the cemetery, which he granted.

I am also interested in charting the position of graves, if that has not already been done. Do you know if a chart of the grave positions has been made?

Hall Cemetery (Carter Co, TN)
What was your source for the list of burials in Hall Cemetery? Most of the names listed in the cemetery do not have tombstones in the cemetery. Is there a burial record somewhere?

Friedericke Levenhagen Prehn Memorial
I have a question about Find A Grave Memorial# 39460792 - Friedericke Prehn. The bio says that she had 3 children die young. Do you know if the children were boys or girls? 1 was lost at sea. Was that a boy or a girl? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am one of her descendants. Thank you. - TG.

Joseph Jenkins #135620045
What documentation do you have for his date of birth? Neal's 1958 book "The McQueen Family of Johnson County, Tennssee" lists his date of birth as May 6, 1797. If you can email the info to me, I would be greatful. Joseph was my 1c 5r. His mother Gracie was sister to my 4x ggf Thomas McQueen.

RE: Payne Cemetery
No problem! I moved my two to yours and have asked that my cemetery be deleted. You might want to change the name of yours to "Payne Cemetery" because when I tried to find it while it didn't show up since it's just called "Payne". The Hampton buried there is my ancestors brother. Thank you for your hard work!!

RE: Old Payne Cemetery
Thank you for the information. When I first entered the memorials many years ago I could not find a Payne Cemetery already listed. I was told by locals that it was called the Old Payne Cemetery.
