RE: Boothbay
I did add a couple of Giles to the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Boothbay the other day - not old stones...but they might link up at some time for you :)

RE: Boothbay
Ok - so I met with Barbara Rumsey yesterday at the Boothbay Historical Society. She did not have anything on a stone having been there - however she has suggested a trip to the Lincoln County Court House - thinks maybe if I can find an obit it might say where buried and that I might be able to locate probate records that might tell of an expense of a stone being set??? So on some rainy day, maybe I will go play at the courthouse :)

Much obliged.

The son of Richard M. Knollin (Leadville, Coloroado) is buried in Greenhill Cemetery, Laramie, Albany, WY:

Richard W. Knollin
1881-1905
...a student at the UWYO
# 54425517
RW's mother is also buried in Laramie.
RM's grave location is uncertain.

Re: 55636647
I suspect I've identified Richard M. Knollin III. There is no find a grave listing. He appears in the 1900 Census in Leadville, Colorado:

Richard M. Knollin
dob: 1848, New Brunsick

He lives in Leadville for at least 20 years until 1903.

I've tried phonetic searches for other censuses in vain.

Can you assist me with an identity/tie to R.M. Knollin I and II?
Much obliged.

RE: Boothbay
So I have a kind lady in Boothbay at the historical society that is going to help me try to attempt to solve your mystery next Sat. May 3rd. I told her I would be there to meet her at the museum when they open :) So hopefully in a couple of weeks you will have your answers :)

I would go this weekend but my mom and I have a yard sale that we go to every year that is going on this Saturday. :)

Smiles,

Jessica

I too wonder if Patrick is buried there and does not have a stone....there is a GAR marker set off of Judith's stone....was he a civil war vet? I am planning on finding out and know of an agency that will put up a stone for him....the owner of King Ro market is related to the Lawler's he says and he believes the town is going to clean up this cemetery :)

I have finished entering stones/people into the Davis Bryant Cemetery - were a couple more Lawlers that got entered if you know anything about them :)

This is school vacation week for BF's kids - so please let me know if I can search any other cemeteries for you as I really could use excuses to get out of the house. :)

Thanks,

Jess

Boothbay
So this week, I may have a job interview down in Boothbay and if I had time to wander a cemetery - which one should I go to that would be helpful to you?

RE: Susie C McFarland
I will see if someone at the town hall can confirm if he is buried here or not and then note on his page for here where he is or the duplication....

Is this the right L. McFarland that she was married to?

RE: Capt Reuben McFarland
Good Morning Steve,

Reuben has been transferred to you and as you discover others I have added - please let me know and I will transfer them to you as well. I can get my hands on copies of two books that have to do with Lincoln County deaths and marriages....so I may ask to borrow them and help with adding any more info that I can to the other people so that your research might be a bit easier?

I was laid off from work so trying to keep busy with things that I enjoy while waiting to be called back.

If there is a cemetery that you would like for me to go check out for you that is in the area - please let me know and I will do my best to go see :)

RE: Harratt & Sally (McFarland) Fitch
You have permission to use the photos as requested. Thanks for asking.
You might be interested to know that the Damariscotta Cemetery Committee is preparing to post all of the info and photos from Walpole-Huston-Woodward Cemetery on the Town web site. All the stones have recently been cleaned and repaired, and the data is being entered into cemetery software owned by the Town. Bethlehem Cemetery data will be available first, followed by Walpole-Huston-Woodward, hopefully within a year. A link will be posted on http://www.townofdamariscotta.com/

RE: Ocean View Cemetery
My research today has shown that the name of this cemetery is Oceanview--the website has a photo of the sign. I also spoke to Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor town offices plus a local funeral home: the cemetery is in Boothbay. And there is just one. If you think your Giles relatives belong in Oceanview, you could edit the burial site and they will be moved.

RE: Ocean View Cemetery
Perhaps I need to take a ride down to that area because I don't know how many Ocean View's there are. It could be that there is one in each of the 2 towns. I will let you know if I find out anything definitive.

I was interested in the spelling you used of Wylie Cemetery; someone has added Wiley to findagrave with a map and no burials. Wylie Cem. has no map but has over 100 graves. Appears that Wiley should be deleted or merged with Wylie. Something else to check out! Thanks. Libby
