Hi Maudie I went back and climbed the hill to Maynard Cemetery. Look everwere for Alexander Burke's stone. No luck. I also saw it a long time ago. Some of the people in Matewan said that a while back there was a bad storm and a lot of the head stones were broke. When I was there was a lot of head stones still broke We pick up the ones we could. It is a mess up there. Sorry I could not be a help. Barb

|Charles L Heaton||ROMIG|
I photographed the Phoebe Tibbs marker, which the dates matched and she was in her folks Plot. I also uploaded her folks markers.
I went to Whitehorse cemetery and photographed Daisy's marker.
She is buried next her dad. His marker was already uploaded.
All the other Romig stones were uploaded. I took the liberty to upload some of mine, which I thought was better.
Happy hunting and if I can be of any more help, just let me know.

Did you see the photos someone posted for "Old City Cemetery" in Logan Co. on Find'A-Grave? Did French say that that is really "Logan Cemetery"? Thx.

Thank you for letting me know about Jettie's obits. The last time I saw Grandma Jettie she was at grandma arvilla's funual. My aunt Laura Carroll Carrico took care of Jettie the last years of her life. Grandma Jettie was so sweet and kind. When she gave you a hug it was like you were a baby and she craddled you. You could fell the warmth of her love. About a month or so before she died she went to aunt Stella's in Lexington and did get sick and passed away.I know they took her back to grandma Arvilla's in McCarr ky and was buried in Mayard grave yard. Thank you so much for the information on her death. I was only 14 years old when she passed but she was the kindness women you will ever meet, Aunt Laura that took care of Jettie looks just like her. Thank you again Barb

John Tiller, brother of David Tiller Sr, would not have been buried in that cemetery. The David Tiller cemetery is in Buchanan County, VA, John Tiller moved to Boyd County, KY and he is found there last. I would look in that county for any death records for him!

hello, you left a message for me regarding a John and Charlotte Tiller? You asked if they were buried with David Tiller. I don't know which cemetery you are talking about?

|AZ Susi||Anderson J. Ellis|
I don't live in West Virginia. I live in Arizona but I can click the tab to ask for a "photo request" and someone may be able to get one who lives in the vicinity. We can give that a try. My source for his death is: (Logan County Register of Deaths (1901 - 1916) p. 20) but I can't remember if it gave the cemetery name. I think it did. He died of pneumonia.

|Gregory Burke||Margaret S. Crowson Burke|
I am Margaret S. Burke's great-great-great grandson. I was excited to find your posting of her grave marker. I was under the impression that she lived beyond 1880. There is a Margaret Burke age 75 living with Albert Burke age 24 in the Wilkes Co. NC 1880 census. William E. Burke one of Margaret's sons is listed in the 1880 Wilkes Co. census along with the rest of his family. His oldest son was Albert. Could she have possibly died in 1884 or 1894? Also this posting is the first time I've seen a middle name (Edward) for William E. Burke.
William E. is my great-great grandfather. Thanks for what you do.

I have recently been working on my family tree that includes the Annason "Buster" Evans family. Annason's sister was Velvie Evans and she was married to Everette Burke, anyway, if I could I'd like to include your pictures of Everette and his parents you have posted on Find A Grave (with credit of course).

|Someone's Descendant||RE: Ann Rosella Stitely Sappington|
Thank you for responding. I found the memorial for her husband William Coale Sappington. It is memorial #17391990 (perhaps you would like to link him to his wife?) and the location is given as Saint Peter's Cemetery in Libertytown. There are pictures with his memorial so I would assume that is indeed where he is buried, but certainly it's best to confirm when unsure.

|Someone's Descendant||William Coale and Ann Rosella Stitely Sappington|
According to the Names in Stone tombstone transcription book this couple is buried in a Catholic cemetery in Libertytown, but the memorial for Ann shows her burial as being in Fairmount Cemetery. The memorial for her husband William is in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. I am wondering if you or anyone else knows if Ann is really buried in Fairmount??
