Sandra Ballard
George Donaldson
I left the memorial on George Donaldson by mistake. He was not brother to Louisa.

However, he is buried in same cemetery with Louisa's parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Armstrong Donaldson. So, one would think that he is related, maybe a grandson?

Sorry for the confusion. I made some effort to remove the flower/note a few weeks ago. Just today found the necessary "clicks" to remove it.

Thank you,
Sandra Ballard

Hi Elaine,
Yes,I think we must be third cousins. My ggrand-father is James Flemington Donaldson. I don't have any more information further back. Wish that I did. I would very much like to see the death certificate that you mentioned. My email is There is an N between the Ralph and the Smith. Most people don't notice it. I look forward to hearing from you.

Baker Family Cemetery
I saw your request for photos in the Baker Family Cemetery in Burnt Hickory Farms in Paulding County. Can you tell me where this cemetery is at? I live in the Burnt Hickory area of Paulding County and haven't heard of this cemetery.

RE: Donaldsons
Hello, Mr Donaldson...

Thanks for getting in touch with me regarding the Donaldson line through findagrave.

James Flemington Donaldson was my great great grandfather, through his youngest daughter, Lela. I have his parents as SJ Donaldson and Susan ?Unknown?. SJ Donaldson is also buried in Borden Springs, AL - at the Church of Christ. His marker is a simple piece of slate with the name carved into it. I have been told that his grandson, Ed Donaldson (oldest son of Flem & Lou), carved the stone himself. The Matthew Donaldson & Leonard Donaldson, who are buried near Flem & his grandchild, Lou Daisy (daughter of Ed & Martha Anne) are also sons of SJ Donaldson. (I have photos of Matthew's, Leonard's, and Lou Daisy's markers at Antioch & SJ's at Borden Springs Church of Christ if you need them.)

I also remember seeing another Leonard Donaldson buried in the Cherry Grove cemetery. I have no clue how this Leonard fits in to the family, but considering the size of the area, I'm sure that all of the Donaldson's in Cleburne County are related. (I have photos of this marker also.)

Another cousin, the wife of a descendant of Flem's daughter, Mollie, has been doing a lot of work on the genealogy. Last time I communicated with her a couple of months ago, nothing was said about her finding info that contradicted what we knew up until last year.

Hope this helps more than confuses!! Please get back with me when you get a chance! I'm anxious to find out more about Henry Donaldson, George Donaldson, & Susan Payne. Any chance you could e-mail me the death certificate you're referring to?

God bless!!!

Carter Nipper
Thank you for the photos!
Thank you so much for the photos of James, Elizabeth, and Sarah Nipper!! I know you went a long way out of your way to get them, and I really, really, appreciate it. These photos of my relatives' graves mean a lot to me and to my family.

I am sorry you had to chase the wild geese on Grant Nipper, but I really appreciate you trying on him, too.
