Mary Grant photo request
Hi - I claimed this one, and I can see that there are at least a couple other Grants, Elizabeth and Miles, in the same lot. I'll get photos for those, too. -Amy

Jack C Brown who was born John Clayton Kelly, [named Clayton for his dad] I noticed you left a comment on his mem. I was wondering if you knew why he died so young at 32y. It was difficult enough his dad being killed at 22y by lightning and with the inscription Our Daddy on his stone, is his wife living? kids? Did Frank Brown actually adopt him or not? the story I have is this, "Nina Stone Kelly was a young widow who remarried after Hugh Kelly's death to Franklin Allen "Frank" Brown, another cowboy. Hugh fathered two children; a daughter named Dorothy Evelyn Kelly and a son named John Clayton "Jack" Kelly who used the "Brown" surname of his stepfather."
Is Jack's sister Dorothy living?
this family is all part of my own Kelly folks who were in TX and some went to AZ etc. Also was curious too why he went to NV? Going back some generations his grgrgr grandad was a TX settler and Patriot, and his name was John Kelly.
thanks kindly for any feedback, happy trails~~

Please call the cemetery office and obtain a grave section, plot and grave number. POST THE LOCATION, or EMAIL IT TO ME. The office is extremely cooperative when you call and look one up at a time. Local phone number is (361) 882-5497
The Rose Hill office is uncooperative when I ask for more than one location at a time. I have the maps to most areas, and will try to find your requested photo with this information.

There is another resource in the Corpus Christi area that you can utilize for obituaries. They can only do the ones that are found in the library's index, found online (see below) The public library allows 2 requests per person, per month.

Best Regards,

Dirk

when you find one that you want to get, copy the index listing and paste it into an email, and send to ccplhist@cclibraries.com

Photo Request
Valeri,
I found your older photo request at Eakly cemetery when I got a new one today. Your was for Ollie M Chambers. I took photos of headstone and footstone. I went ahead and posted them for her shown husband A Olland or Olland A Chambers as well without having you create a new photo request. I also emailed the memorial creator to request they update the info on Ollie and Olland plus to link the two together.
Hope this helps you out.

Walter Samuel Rau
Hello Valeri - You have a photo request for Walter Samuel Rau at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery. He shares a marker with his wife Allie Rau. Did you want a photo of her side of their 2-sided marker? If yes, please place a separate photo request for Allie. I or another volunteer will get both photos for you at the same time. Thank you! -- Laurel

My grateful thanks to you for the photo of my relative. I appreciate what you and other volunteers do to help in genealogy quests.

I am enlisted as a volunteer for the Greater Stockholm area in Sweden but I think the interest is more of relatives buried in the USA rather than in Europe. So far no requests have been made to me but I shall be prepared in case.

Kind regards,

Tony Matthews

Fate
I have to say Valeri I think us both being here is fate. I signed up like a few days after you and feel like Ive been chasing your family ever since lol. This may be a farewell at least for now. I am planning on moving possibly anywhere from the next couple weeks to the next month or so. I have enjoyed helping you find your ancestors and if there is anything I can do for you while im still in this area please let me know. And if this is truely fate...I will end up somewhere you have lost ancestors for me to find =). Anyhow as long as Im still here and have free time let me know if you need anything from the historcial society or courthouse too.

Take Care,
Karena

Hi I went to St. Nicholas today and looked twice in the cemetery and couldnt find him. He is listed as being buried there in cemetery records so I will go to the Historical Society tomorrow and see if they have a plot map so I can find him.

Hi Valeri,

I checked Albert Starkey at the St. Nicholas Cemetery I suggested. Unfortunately, he is not listed as being buried at that location. When you have more information, let me know and I'll try to get the photo for you. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

I noticed the problems with your photo request. Are you sure he is in St. Nicholas in Carver Co? If you want to double check, there is a St. Nicholas in Scott Co. not too far from me. If you find he is there, I'd be happy to look for him.
