|Sharon Hicks GieseTemplin||Nelson Family|
Hello Mary, I hate to intrude but I need your help if possible. I have been trying to find my Nelson Roots and I think I have 2 branches intertwined. Your help will e greatly appreciated; if you can unravel it for me. Here is what I am sure of:
my 2nd great grandfather
Stella Aurelia Nelson (1876 - 1959)m. Delos Darrow
my Great Grand Mother and daughter of John Nelson
Arta Aurelia Darrow (1897 - 1973)m. B C Hicks
my Grandmother daughter of Stella Aurelia Nelson
Neil Travis Hicks (1925 - 2000)m Dolores Bond(s)
my father son of Arta Aurelia Darrow
and ME Sharon "Sherry" Lanise Hicks
There are so many John Nelsons'. I hope we are related and you can get me on the straight path. All of my family is now deceased, except for my son and nieces. I have no family to clarify. Thanks a million for reading and hope to hear from you.

|Wendy Gardner||John W Nelson and Lena Nelson|
Just stumbled on this picture of my great uncle Hobby's grave which coincidentally I just visited for the first time a few days ago. My grandmother was Hob's sister Lillian Esther Nelson Hannaford, grandfather was Horace Hannaford. All the Hannafords that came from Melbourne Australia to the US were members of the House of David in Benton Harbor Michigan. I've just been there doing family history stuff and met with my second cousin Pat Nelson Wenzlaff, Hobby's daughter who I hadn't seen in over 50 years. I would love to speak with you, I will send you my cell via your email address.I live in Utah but will be at my mom's house in Florida until next Wednesday July 23rd, 2014. Mom is Hobby's niece June Lillian Hannaford, only child of Lillian and Horace. I also visited the graves of Joe,their sister Ucal (who is interred very close to Hobbie and Margaret)great grandma Lena, great grandpa John William and great great grandma Sarah. I just joined but when I figure it out, I will post photos of their resting places as well. Aunt Ucal is with Hob and Margaret at Riverview, everyone else is at Crystal Springs in BH. So happy to find this,is Eunice the one they called Lacy? Pat just gave me a BUNCH of pictures of her, she was very pretty

I have been working on the descendants of Joseph and Barbara Steelman, adding links, etc., and the Nelson branch is in the BEST shape of any of the families I've seen. I'm adding a few birth places and death places, but you've done a GREAT job.

|TLH||Ella Pullen photo request|
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336
or to email them, the link is:
There are over 233 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help. : )

It seems like we've got a lot in common when it comes to our ancestors. My mother's ancestors were from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia (I think)and Virginia. What a SMALL World this is!!

I've even emailed Grove Hill again to let them know that I couldn't locate Madison even though I had a map, but I've received no response as of yet. Good Luck!! Take care, Kevin H. Headley

|Kevin H.||Madison Randolph III|
I just wanted to let you know that I visited Grove Hill Cemetery today and they gave me the info and map for Madison. She's in Babyland, the same section as my twin sister, but, although I had my info and map, I wasn't able to locate Madison's grave. But, I'm not going to give up trying.

Absolutely, I gave the pic to you when I posted it. You and anyone you choose may use the photo of Thomas Franklin Ross' Grave Marker that I took and posted on his Find-A-Grave Memorial page at the request of Mary Randolph.
Do you mind if I e-mail you at your Yahoo address? I would like to talk with you about my Nelson line..and 2 other stones I found with the Ross name.
