Can you tell me who he married or his kids buried here. he was listed as burial location unknown in the 1992 portage county hhistorical transcriptions. I have the cemetery database and I find him with a plot, but I can't find the plot. So if I knew his immediate family that might be there it might help me locate his burial. I am working on photographing the whole cem, but trying to do the photo requests first.

thanks
sandy

I have photographed all but one of the Marvins in Find A Grave for Fern Hill cemetery. Now you can make the edits of their information to the owner of each page. Enjoy!

Warren & Hattie Marvin photo
Steve:
Thanks for posting the photo of Warren & Hattie Marvin. I came across it while researching Moses Marvin (my great-great grandfather) and I do not remember having seen this one before. Warren & Hattie are my great-grandparents; his son Hulbert and wife Mary (Putt) my grandparents.
Thanks again; I'm so glad to have come across it.

RE: Marvin J Foltz
I don't think we are but not sure. I think I found Marvin while searching for Foltz relatives and because of his service to our country I felt I should remember him with flowers. My great aunt Irma Katherine Winchell married a man named George Marit Foltz and they lived in North Adams, Michigan. They had daughters, Esther M Foltz b:1920 and Marilyn J Foltz b:1928 in North Adams. Maybe you can see a connection.

RE: Photo - Marvin family - Oak Grove, Hillsdale
Glad I could help. I am in Oak Grove a lot and I recalled seeing a large Marvin monument, so it didn't take long to find it again. In case you didn't notice the caption I put with the large monument photo, there are 8 people inscribed on it. I made note of all of them in the caption. I added 3 pages which were for 3 Marvn children. There are 2 19-yr-old boys (1 by Clara & James, 1 by Amelia & James), then a 3-month-old baby Clara by Amelia & James). They are all in Section 6.

I lives 90 miles away from the Mountain View Cemetery BUT we go up there twice a year. And the care giver is part-time now (budget cuts).
Next time we go up, I'll try and find out what I can.
Happy Easter.

RE: Agnes Marvin
I'd love to share whatever I know. I was planning a trip back to Hillsdale in the next couple of weeks, there were a couple of graves I missed because of different last names. I'd be happy to pass on anything I find that relates to Agnes/the family. I am also on ancestry.com so if you're interested, I can send you an invite to my tree so you can access the research on Agnes. I'll check to see if I have anything on paper that I can drop off to you as well.

I'll be in for a total makeover tomorrow, which will require the entire team because I am long overdue. ha ha ha
Hugs! L

RE: Agnes Marvin
Hi Steven! Small world. How funny to hear from you through Find A Grave! I am happy to transfer management to you. I just found Agnes about a year ago, quite by accident. My maiden name is Crisp and I was on a mission to find my relatives on my father's side when I came upon over a dozen of them all buried at Kirby Cemetery. My great great grandfather George Crisp remarried a woman named Rose English, and together they had several children. She also had a child from a prior relationship, Agnes Norris. So she must've grown up and married your grandfather. Agnes would be my Great Step Aunt. So somehow we are cousins or step cousins? LOL I want a family discount at the salon, and you can get a discount when you visit my husband at Dusty's ok? ha ha ha just kidding.
Hugs,
Laura Davis

Thank you
Hi Steve,
My Bonser family married into your Marvin family and I'm working on connecting them. May I use a copy of your pictures at the Ancestry.com pages for them? I would give your name and that you took the pictures and posted them at the Find A Grave site. I haven't seen any posted yet, do you have a tree up? Thank you. I'm related to Eula Dell Or Ella "Ulas"BONSER who married REV. WARREN H. MARVIN Memorial# 42532148 son of Moses Marvin Memorial# 36096131 and Hattie Wilbur Marvin
Memorial# 36096129. I haven't found my Eula yet.

I'm sorry Steven, but there is no other Hess in the cemetery. I have a list from the cemetery board, and i searched for a combination of different names for Abbie and there is nothing listed, and i don't have a picture of her headstone either.

RE: Hess & Cornish
I have taken a photo of every headstone in the Camden Cemetery, i just don't have them all cleaned up for the internet yet. But when someone requests a photo, i'll go through them so i can fulfill the request. My plan was to have every headstone posted on F.A.G., but running two businesses keeps me pretty busy!!
