mary stassart
Billie R. Thank you for providing the mother's name for Mary Stassart.
I found that you have also added Mary Stassart to the Find A Grave data base which makes Mary Stassart listed a second time.

I recommend that you delete your entry.

Philpot children
Duh! I took the photo of their parents, which was on the opposite of the headstone. Maybe I need to refer to my notes sooner. :)

Philpot children
Thank you so much for linking these 3 children to their parents. How you were made aware of the new (last night!) memorials is a mystery, but thank you! I had searched for their parents - how certain are you of this relationship?

Jacquelyn Chase
Hubbard family
Floyd and his brother Fred lived in Monte Vista with the Hubbard family while they were going to high school. Floyd was twenty-one when he graduated and I have his diploma.

I have heard stories about the Hubbard's moving to Taos after the boys grew up and came back from WWI but I will have to ask my mother.

Jacquelyn Chase
Birth Date for Floyd Santistevan
Floyd was my grandfather. He was born in Taos, Taos County, New Mexico - not in Colorado.

I have documents that prove his birth and death places.

Thanks J Chase

Hibler's-Paris, KY
I recently responded to a photo req for Jane Hibler from cjforry@gmail.com & uploaded a pic of Jane & all the Hibler's on Daniel's lot. I sent her an email Mar 25th w/some corrections & other info. I asked if I should send the info to her or you & haven't heard anything. Appreciate if you would let me know.
Also, I note that you have 2 memorial's for Speed Goodloe Hibler. His surname is missing on #104553080 & the other one (#104553539)is the correct one w/Hibler. Thanks-Frank

Would you know by any chance if his wife's maiden name was "Francis"? Or anything about her? Thank you for any help-positive or negative!

Jobe Simpson
I have a disc compiled by the Colorado Springs Genealogical Society and cannot find a burial for Jobe Simpson recorded there. Where is his grave? Does he have a headstone?

RE: Brown Cemeter, Harper, Texas
I photographed all of the grave markers in this cemetery and there is not one with the family name "Day". The cemetery is in Kimble County (about 1 mile west of the Gillespie County Line).
I understand there is another Brown Cemetery on the Stevens Ranch, somewhere just south of Harper. I have not been to this cemetery so cannot help you with that at this point.

RE: C(harles) W Philpot 1845 1920
Opps I'm bad. I transposed Burton's birth year, so your right Charles' grandson. Oops you bad. You put them in Mount Hope Cook County, Illinois, they are in Mount Hope Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. The first one does not exist. One of the many problems we have out here multiple names and to make it more confusing almost no cemetery in Illinois is incorporated into a city. (Dead people don't pay taxes so no city, town or village wants them.) So the Post Office (USPS) can change them from one address to another.
When I first got started at Find A Grave my mom allready had a memorial. But when I enter my dad he went into another cemetery. About ten years ago the USPS changed their mailing address, the cemetery's not my parents, so there were two cemeteries one in Worth the old address one in Alsip the new address.
To make matters worst the Catholic cemeteries of the Chicago have 5 St Mary's 3 St Joseph's and it goes on and on. the Lutherian every other Cemetery is a St. John.
So any way do you want to change them so there all to gether?

Mount Hope Cemetery's phone number is 708-371-2818. You may want to call them and ask for the exact location of the lot, because the size of the lot indicates that there could be at least two more buried there, possible four, all without headstones. The Burton C Philpot is probably the son of Charles, not grandson, as the following obituary possible indicates. But the cemetery may be able two tell you age at death for any and all in the lot.
Per Cook County genealogy web site:
Name Event Record # Date
PHILPOT, BURTON CHARLES Death 666107 9/22/1967
PHILPOT, WILLIAM B Death 6028993 10/11/1929
The second obit could possible be for William's son, Charles' Grandson
PHILPOT, WILLIAM G Death 30554 11/11/1941

Sorry everything doesn't line up, it did before I copied and pasted.

I got the picture for C(harles) W. Philpot inscription GAR, which I'll guess means Grand Army of Republic, and will post it to the memorial. Along with him there are:
Martha Philpot 1847 1928
Burton Philpot 1869 1967
William Philpot 1870 1929
If you would like these photos also, please establish memorials and send a photo request.

What I have heard regarding this photo is that the young woman was a friend of Aunt Virgie's rather than a family member.
