John Lee - Yount Community Cemetery
Rick, It has been awhile since I walked the cemetery, but I do not recall a stone for John. He was living at the county poor farm when he died, not likely any stone due to $$. Are you related?

RE: Photo of Burger/Haight Family
Nice to hear from you Rick. Peter and Anna Burger are my 3rd great aunt and uncle. That would make us cousins, but my relationship is through Peter's side so we are actually step-cousins. Oh well. Still really neat to connect. I'm especially glad you spoke up because I have wondered who "Ruth" was on the photo. For some reason it didn't occur to me it was Anna's daughter from her first marriage, even though I was aware Anna had been married before. Now I know! The photo is from a big album my great-grandma had. She was Peter's niece. Because you are directly related to people in the photo, I grant you permission to copy and use it as you wish. It's horrible scan and it's actually stuck in the book or I would try to take a better one. Sorry. Thanks again for contacting me!

Pickleman edit
Thank you for accepting the edit to link Wilmer to his parents. His mother had a total of 7 children by two husbands. I am halfway to getting this family linked. Thanks.

We have corresponded before about the Amidons. Wish I could visit dodge cemetery but live too far away (calif.). Thanks for all your work on the Amidon's of late.

That's not necessary. I hope you didn't mind my suggestion. I've only entered one person and that was my great-grandfather, William Arthur Wheeler. I'm still trying to learn all about this.

Julia & Garrett Clemons
I posted a photo for Julia Clemons at the Kingston Cemetery. I didn't find a marker for Garrett Clemons.

I am also posting a wider view of Julia's marker. It is in the middle of a large empty area. Perhaps Garrett is buried nearby without a marker.

Donald Mathews corrections
Hi Rick,
Thank you so much for the corrections. I have made the changes and also linked Donald to his parents.
Again thank you.

Bessie E Clemons Hunt
Hi Rick, Thank you for the updates for Bessie Clemons. I had all that information in my family tree, I just had forgotten I had made a memorial for her. If she is a more direct relative of yours, I would be glad to transfer her memorial to you. She is the niece of the husband of my 2nd great grand aunt.

Thanks again!

Tegan

RE: Wheeler Headstones
Me again...just FYI, I happened to run into Tracy, the woman who is (I guess) the sexton. She said she'd be happy to look up the records for me, the next time I'm there. She works from 9-5, unless the weather is bad; she spends most of her time on maintenance, so she told me to drive around till I find her. I probably won't be going there again until next spring, but I should be able to find the other stones you need. Take care! Robin

RE: Wheeler Headstones
LOL, it is HUGE! I actually got lucky, because that was the section I started with ~ they aren't marked at all, unless you happen to stumble over one of the small stones with a letter on it.

I made a note of where they are, and next spring I will take some soap and water and see if I can get some of the moss off them, so I can get better pictures.

Clemons
I found a stone that matches the dates of Sylvester Ray Clemons, but on the stone it says Ray S. Clemons. Could these be the same man?

RE: Thank You
You're most welcome, Rick! We're always glad to help. In this case we had just started photographing the section that all of them are buried in. ;-)

You're welcome! I also did a bunch of other Wheeler's buried in the same lot. As well as Carla Wheeler Rall with her husband and son. Take a look. If you want them transferred to you, just let me know.

Rick, I can try to get a hold of the cemetery trustees and check, however, the people that transcribed the cemetery are known to be pretty through.

Our Nephew
Thank you for the beautiful tribute you left for our nephew, Rick! As my brother says time and time again, thank you seems so inadequate for all the big and little things people do as they mean so much to a grieving family. Yet those two words are all we can give back.

RE: Claibourne Cemetery Photo Requests
Thank you for the really kind words. I truly appreciate them. Thanks, too, for the invitation to visit your family tree. I like to visit trees with Union County roots as my husband had ancestors who helped settle the area a full generation before it was a county. Looked to see if there might be a connectio--no such luck.

RE: Claibourne Cemetery Photo Requests
Rick, I have no problem with transferring memorials if they aren't my family. And as long as proper credit is given I have no problem with the photos I post being used on the Ancestry public trees -- even though Ancestry is a for profit site ;-)

Enjoy what little is left of the weekend!

RE: Claibourne Cemetery Photo Requests
You're most welcome, Rick. As a matter of fact, my husband and I are in the process of taking a complete photographic inventory of the cemetery. Since it's second in size in the whole county (only Oak Dale is larger) it's probably going to take us quite a while, but I'll be happy to add any photos you need--or look for them if we haven't taken them. In the meantime, if you'd like to have the two DeWitt memorials that I added today, just ask for a transfer--they are Charles Burton DeWitt and Mary E. Hanson DeWitt.

Annette
abt Photos
Hi Rick

When adding the photos put a note can be added they are able to use your photos. If you add them your able to post that on the photos. I will also post on the bio that your photos are exempt. As they click on them it will say they are free to use them. If this is ok? Please let me know how you would like to do this. I do have photos on other memorials that I tell them if they would like a photo to contact me its normally because I can send them a larger one because of how Find A Grave photos policies are. Thank you so much for the Richardson offer.
