RE: Berton Elmer Stevens
I appreciate your response. Now it makes sense why so many of the LDS records are being changed on by those using as their source. I will contact find a grave to get more information. Accuracy is so important in genealogy, at least with my comment others will be able to make corrections to their personal research. Thanks for all that you do.

Berton Elmer Stevens
Why do you spell my husband's grandfather's name Burton. The headstone is not accurate. The correct spelling is Berton. He signed his marriage certificate to his first wife as Berton, Berton is on the marriage certificate where he married my husband's grandmother, Myrle Sophia Frazee. He signed his WWI draft registration Bert Elmer Stevens and the name he registered under is Berton Elmer Stevens. His application for a Social Security Number is also Berton. A headstone is not considered a primary source because of the possibility of misspellings and inaccurate dates.

Your website would be more accurate if it were titled Berton (Burton) Elmer Stevens.

Elizabeth Thoele
You requested a change to the parents of Elizabeth Thoele. I'm going to have to decline because her father is Karel (Charles), not Henry. Henry is Charles' older brother. All of the census data shows this to be the case. I have done a lot of research on the Bolk family in Clinton County, IL. If you are interested in this family line, I can provide more data. If you have some evidence that you think makes your point, I would like to see it. Thanks. -- Bob

RE: Urban Wiegand
Just so you know, the cemetery inventory shows his last name spelled WIGAND. Tammy
