RE: thank you
Neither of the Chisholm graves in Woodlawn Saskatoon had markers. I put this in a note beneath the grave photos.

I posted a problem report regarding your request. The report has a full explanation. The only church record going back to Susannah's day is the book of inscriptions mentioned in the report. All other church records are gone.

I had taken a photo of the tombstone of Susannah's daughter, Elizabeth. Looking at it now,it was a terrible photo. I deleted that photo and replaced it with one that shows the inscription much more clearly. It is a beautiful stone. Also on the memorial is a photo of the inscription that was recorded in the book I mentioned.

Hello Chelsea,

The records are gone forever. I understand that the diocese was in a court battle for about 15 years and then the family moved to Canada. The church no longer exists. The group that maintain this cemetery also maintain 2 others and 1 is very large. I'm very happy when I find a stone someone is searching for.
Have a blessed weekend.

RE: Gabriel Lamagdelaine
Good Morning, You are very welcome. I enjoy walking thru the cemetery and it certainly is my pleasure. The reason there is no record is because this small cemetery was originally registered in the priest's name and when he passed away all the records were given to his family as part of his estate and the diocese has been negotiating for many, many years but only received custody of the cemetery without the records. The diocese office is working towards registering all the stones (that can be read) and their locations in the cemetery. Many stones are broken without names. Many stones were made of concrete therefore the names are completely worn off. It's very sad to see this. I'm happy I was able to find you family.
Blessings,
Vicha

Chelsea, She does not have a headstone, but she is definitely buried there as we went to the cemetery office and got the record of her burial.

RE: John B. Scharfbillig
I have not done much more than Ancestry at this point, but John Joseph is as far as I have ever gotten because everyone in the family is John something. I would certainly like to find out more if I can.

I know there is a village named Scharfbillig in Germany, which was in Luxembourg prior to WWI, but I just haven't had the time to put into it.

RE: John B. Scharfbillig
Yes, I live in St. Cloud. If my research is correct, John Joseph Scharffbillig was the father of Joseph John Scharfbillig, who is my name sake and my great grandfather.

It it very confusing with so many Johns in our family tree and the fact that an F was dropped at some point.

John B. Scharfbillig
Hello Chelsea,

I am looking to find a connection between John B. Scharf(f)billig (1830-1893) and John Joseph Scharf(f)billig (1860-1944) who are both buried in Calvary Cemetery. I believe that John Joseph is one of John B's 15 children, but I don't have any proof. I thought that since you wrote the bio, you may have some family tree info.

Thank you for your time.

Joe

RE: Charles Wesley Lawless
I live in Wisconsin and go to Historical Society a great deal. Have looked at the pre-1907 records multiple times and no luck there. I will keep searching. Has your friend found Charles's death record or newspaper obit? I know Burchett married Lydia in California but have found nothing on them. Will keep you mind as I try to find the rest of the siblings. One of them has to have an obit that mentions the rest of the siblings. Thanks!

RE: Charles Wesley Lawless
I am trying to find out the parents of Charles with proof. Burchett is always around my ancestor Mary D. Lawless who married Urbain Boone. Trying to locate her parents and I think Burchett may be her father. I am not sure of Lydia being Charles W's mother as she is never with Burchett on his way to California but then shows up later as if she was a second wife. So just trying to put the puzzle together to locate all family members. Any assistance would be awesome.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi,

Are you related to Charles? Do you happen to know who his parents are? I am trying to locate the children of Burchett Lawless who died in California.

Thanks

I took pictures of Ira and Mary's stones for you. Unfortunately Ira's stone is broken in two, and the largest portion is supporting Mary's stone in such a way that moving his stone would risk toppling hers over. The only part that was still readable was his names. I took the best pictures I could of his stone, to show the positioning, but there wasn't much else I could get.
