had a son James Walter 76566727 who had a son 37501805 his name was Irma 'Mac' McCoy, Irma is the father of Barbara McCoy Sherman the great, great grand daughter phone number 1-251-965-7017 she would help you in further proof of this family line. Sometimes census record keepers could really get things wrong. I can see where it is a bit confusing. Thanks Luteen Carroll

Like you I have run census records and can only find her last census record with her daughter Nancy Horton, I checked all census shows her in no other census of family, I believe she must be buried by Nancy as travel was hard in those days. I was told this memorial was made with no proof she is buried in this cemetery, is this what you think? She is the sister of my gr,gr,grandpa., would like your feed back. Thanks Luteen Carroll

Stephen & Elizabeth Stampley
I recently visited the Stampley cemetery in Yazoo County, Miss looking for my Stampley relatives...
Stephen Compton Stampley & Elizabeth Geoghegan Stampley and their daughters.

I did not find them at the Stampley cemetery in Yazoo even though they are listed their in WWW.find a grave.com....

I think they are buried in Stampley cemetery in Jefferson County, MIss but I have not been able to find the cemetery. I visited the Miss State Archives and they listed a Stampley cemetery in Jefferson County, Miss in sec 48 - T8N -RiE located on Stampley Road, just north of Stampley Creek on the east side of the road. It is not visible from the road but about 200 feet off Stampley road.

I will try to go back later this year and search more........Karen Gately

Benjamin Franklin Smith 86298084
I have located Benjamin in the 1850, 1860 (in Neshoba County), 1870 and 1880. These fill in the mysteries pretty well. I can send you JPEG files of the census records if you like. Let me know. Paul

Marilyn, thank you so very sweetly for the transfer of Wyley. You do indeed practice what you preach --you share! You are so very generous and I am particularly blessed with the fruits of your work and your generosity in sharing. You will continue to bless many generations to come. I'm always glad to run across your smiling face in my research. All the Best to You, Nancy

RE: William Fredrick
Don't worry about age: hitting the wrong button or hitting two at same time or the PC not responding, etc are all sources of errors.
When I searched Findagrave (via ancestry.com) for anyone born 1000 AD and died 1500 (i.e. impossible dates) I got 1.2 MILLION results....!
It seems Findagrave's program completed half-entered dates, which therefore are wrong.
Birthdates and death dates were switched, etc etc.
I "only" corrected some 21,000 names, dates, places, etc so far....
I could spend the rest of my life doing this.
Have a nice day.
RJB
