I find it fascinating that I googled my grandfather's name and it brought me to this website. What it also brought with it was an amazing amount of information on relatives. Rebecca J (Day) Simmons is a long ( down the line ) relative of mine. Fascinating. I am so excited to learn about each one of the relatives that I can find on this site.

Happy to do so. I have no relatives in this cemetery. This is a gift to help others find their relatives. If we ever get a sunny day, I will try to add a picture.

Calvin Harvey/St Johnsbury Center Cemetery
Greetings Clifford,

I was trying to fill a photo request for Calvin Harvey. I discovered that he is not buried in St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery but in Grove Cemetery (St Johnsbury) with his parents Rawson and Susan and brother Oscar. I have placed memorials and photos up of the stone. You might want to change your memorial for Calvin to Grove Cemetery.

I also have Calvin and Laura's son Walter C. in Concord Village Cemetery with his wife Rosa and dau's Laura (Palmer) and Ada (Hastings).

Calvin's wife Laura Newhall Harvey Works is buried in Mt Pleasant Cemetery with her husband Barton.

Hope this helps!

Farrar and related families
Lydia Farrar Bond
Hi, Clifford. Can you please let Bill know who the parents were of Lydia Farrar, if you know, so he can create any familial links to them he might be able, and/or cite their names in the bio of her memrial. Can you please add any geneological info to other relatives memorials you might be able to suggest/familial links to parents? Thanks for your efforts on this site. Do you happen to have any old portraits of ancestors you might e able to add to memorials, with names identifing the people in them? That would sure be a fine addition to some of them. Thanks, again.

MORE: Eunice Chandler
Hi again,
Below is what we added to John H. Howe, Abel Howe, and Sarah E. Gates Howe. If you'd like to add it to Eunice Chandler, that would be fine too.
Again, thanks for the "kick off" info.

HOWE-GATES gravestone obelisk is almost totally illegible.
We had a few clues of these four names:

Then we were oh so pleased to see this info from the Eunice Chandler's page here in Find-a-grave. And we added some more info from the Census records.
on Find-a-grave #66795611:
Birth: May 29, 1817
Stow, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
Death: Oct. 14, 1903
Hudson, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA

Eunice was the daughter of Guy Carleton and Eunice (Robinson) Brown.
She was married 1st to Abel Howe (1808-1859), Dec. 3, 1835 in Stow, Mass.
She married 2nd Jabez Huntington (1811-1879), Feb. 26, 1863 in Marlborough, Mass.
She married 3rd to Dr. Herman Chandler (1805-?), Dec. 25, 1884 in Hudson, Mass.

I only know of one child, John Henry Howe (1839-1875), he married Sarah Elizabeth Gates (1842-aft.1910).

Note: Eunice's death is on the Hudson, Mass. record. Vol.1903/27: Pg.322.
Age 86 yrs. 4 mo. & 16 dys.
1850 U.S. Census Stowe, MA. ABEL HOWE, age 41, farmer. Wife EUNICE [BROWN] HOWE [CHANDLER] age 32. Children: Francina Howe 12, JOHN H.HOWE 12, Sarah J. Howe 10, William P. Howe 8.

1860 U.S. Census Marlborough, MA. JOHN H. HOWE 23, working in "shoe" [shop]. He is married to SARAH E. [GATES] HOWE age 18. Their son is Freddie G. Howe age 1 year. They are living with 48 year old Sally Gates [maybe Sarah's mother], and her sons: William M. Gates 15, Edward Gates 9.

1870 U.S. Census Marlborough, MA. JOHN H. HOWE age 33, a railroad expressman. Wife SARAH [GATES] HOWE age 28. Frederic Howe age 11, Henry Howe age 6. Also there is Sarah Gates 55, and Edward Gates, 19, working in meat market.

1900 U.S. Census Marlborough, MA. SARAH E. HOWE widow age 57 born June 1842. Son Fred G. Howe age 40 also a widower, born July 1859, is an assistant in a billard parlor. Grandson Clifton G. Howe age 17, driving a meat wagon. And Sarah's brother, Edward D. Gates age 49 day laborer.

1900 U.S. Census Hudson, MA. EUNICE [BROWN HOWE] CHANDLER age 82, widow, born in Massachusetts May 1818, had 4 children with 3 living. Appears to be living with her married daughter, Sarah J. Howe Brigham, age 60, on 15 Russell Street.

Eunice R. Chandler
Hi, I am photographing all of Maplewood Cemetery (slowly). I put up the photo of the stone for Eunice R. Chandler.
It was a joy to have this info you posted, as you can see that the stone is almost totally illegible.
Take care,

Nathaniel Bancroft
Hi Clifford,

In regards to Mr. Bancroft in Phillipston Mass I checked out the situation and I found a genealogy online called American Genealogist vol. 62-63 by Donald L. Jacobus on Google Books. I was only able to see a "snippet view" they call it of pg. 157 and Mr. Bancroft is listed as born 1748 in Framingham and marrying Miss Maynard in 1776. He is said to be the son of Nathaniel and Mehitable Damon Bancroft. His sister, Mehitable, also ended up on Phillpston, marrying Daniel Knight.

I think the VR's of Phillipston to 1850 could be in error about his age at death (52). The gravestone picture I took isn't perfectly clear but the last number looks like 1 not a 2 and it easily could be 61 which would make sense with the 1748 birth year.

Hope this helps.

Ada Barlett Lipsett
I am afraid I made a mistake in Ada's maiden name. :( It should be Bartlett. I am so sorry about this... Farnsworth was her uncle's last name.

Would you be so kind and change Farnsworth to Bartlett. Ada's Memorial #36128400 in the Masonic Cemetery in Heppner, Morrow Co., Oregon. It would be greatly appreciated.

Just letting you know changes have been made.

Given 39 Wilson entries in your Virtual Cemetery, do you have any more informaiton on Solon Hayward Wilson than what is at Find A Grave 54842514? His wife, Mary Jane Holden, is my lineage, and I know very little about Solon and/or their family. Thank you for any help.

Hi Clifford.
I have transferred a couple of John & Mary Wolford Carpenter's children (and their spouses) to your care. As I recall, you were interested in keeping families together. If you would like the transfer of Kerren's children, I can most certainly do that too. Just let me know. Debe
