Mary Ann (Johnson) Glynn-husband John Glynn, Matilda, and Carolyn Neilsen will need memorials created. I would like to post photos of their stones. I am posting photos for Lawrence and Rosanna.

Best regards,
Mary LeCount

Laura Gillahand/Gilliland
I changed the spelling on her last name to Gilliland as there is only one memorial per person per Findagrave rules. I accounted for the spelling difference in her bio. Her name as first listed was what the cemetery records stated so that is why it was on there that way. I think her name appeared differently in everything I looked at! I just looked up the d.c. for her and the infant born on the day she died - and both were spelled differently, too. Good grief. Thanks for the note and hope this takes care of the inconsistency.

RE: Lincoln Cebein Davis
The death certificate says Cebein but they sure could have made an error. I added a note to his bio stating that his middle name could be Cebern or Ceburn. Thanks for the information.

Thank you for the update and sources :) I found other sources to back up your suggestions so I have updated her page as requested. I also found some information that I needed to update on my own family tree in the process.

I just wanted to say thanks for donating family materials to the Newberry Library. I've been researching "all girl bands" of the 1920s lately, and your photos and clippings were very helpful.

William Kendall Brown m. Mary Neafus
You mentioned that William Kendall Brown married a Mary Neafus. Do you happen to know where I can find out more about the Kendalls of Meade County, Ky? My Elijah Barnes (1777-1845) of Nelson County, Ky. was left an orphan and William Kendall was appointed his guardian. I think this William Kendall later moved to Meade County and died there about 1829. Armstead Barnes, son of Elijah, moved to Meade County by 1830 and a number of Kendalls are buried in Meade County, Ky. and Kendall and Neafus people are buried in the small Meadville Cemetery where Armstead Barnes is buried. I suspect many of the old Kendalls in Meade County are descendants of William Kendall.

I couldn't find anything, anywhere. So I called one of the local funeral homes and they gave me this number and name for you to contact. Her name is Rebecca Shacklette and her number is 270-422-2077. I hope this helps. Kay ;)
