Before i add them do you know the correct spelling of his mother's name, Allaine or Alline? Or something else?

I am sad to say he had a large skeleton in his closet. As he was married to both women at the same time.

Thank you so much! I found the image and it is large enough. Also found more useful information about the Brattons. Once again, greatly appreciated.

Hi! I am writing a book about some of the Brattons from South Carolina and have been looking for a photo of Lucy Beverly Randolph Bratton, wife of Bishop Theodore DuBose Bratton. Love your image with Lucy and one of her children. Would you allow me to consider using this in the book? It would need to be at least 300ppi, a high enough resolution for printing. Also - Do you know who the baby in the picture is?

These are family members,and I submitted an edit to add his Mother, mem#114680050.
Recently I updated the Mother's memorial and noticed that her son is not appearing on her page; therefore, I sent a request to accomplish this.
The Father's name is correct of course, and I made no suggestion to change it. I'm not certain what the confusion is. The Grandfather shares the same name,so #104059621 would be Morris,II. This may or may not have been suggested.
Thank you for helping me with this and for all you do to assist families in honoring loved ones.

|Diane ||Fabius Holloway|
I am researching the Fabius Irving and Fabius Junius Holloway families for my sister-in-law, Joan Holloway Grant, and her children. Her father was Jackson Kenneth Holloway.
I am looking for any descendants who might have photos. I am also looking for their obits.
FI Holloway died in Waynesboro, VA and is buried in Oakwood, as listed. FJ Holloway died in Neuse, NC and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery as well.

|Northern Pike||RE: William Ford Taylor photo|
Hi Danna. I am so glad I could be of help. I went out to fill photo requests and got a picture of his stone. Lanie had a photo request for Ida Taylor Gill (ended up as a dup) in the same plot. If I recall he is buried beside his gradson, William Felton Taylor. Sonora Taylor Gill is on the other side of William Felton. Jesse and Anna Taylor and Ida Gill Taylor are all in the same plot.
Of course it was sunny when I headed out there this morning, but by the time I got there it clouded up. Next time I'm there (and it's sunny) I'll try and get a better pic. Maybe you'll be able to read the stone better.

I added the marriage year. I just went into the Edit tab and it does show the marriage year. But apparently that doesn't show up on the page itself -- which does seem odd to me too.

Her name is Luna Carolyn Crawford Byrd, as you posted it. You also mentioned that in the marriage record her middle initial was A. True. On her death certificate it is C. The marriage record was a typed up copy from the original old script writing. I believe the death certificate had the correct information.

Hi There Friend,
Good to hear from you .... I see you are busy again. I'm in North Carolina (my 4th month) researching old slave cemeteries. Will be returning home in a month, then back for Christmas. Again, thank you for sending additional information for memorials. You are one of the best Find A Grave researchers out there! I appreciate you so much for your sharing and how you work so hard. When will you be coming back to NC??? I'd love to meet up when you do.....

I meant that my ancestors are not at Oakwood, but my parents are there: Carolyn Elisabeth Whitten Smith, B. 1 Sept 1911 in So Boston, Halifax, VA, and Philip Benjamin Smith (Jr), B. 14 Jan 1911 in Kittrell, Vance, NC.
Elisabeth is spelled with an S. She'll haunt you if you use a Z! She hated the name "Carolyn."

There are two Smith lines in my family, both from NC -- Montgomery Co and Granville (later broken into Franklin, Vance, and Granville from Granville Co). None are in Oakwood Cemetery.
I think the two photos you referred to are Reynolds tombstones. They are in Montgomery Co, NC, in Okeewemee (think that's how it's spelled)--between Star and Troy. My computer had to update and restart, so I don't know whose Ancestry member's family tree they are from.
The two markers are my gr-gr-grandfather and his mother, and they were from Montgomery County, NC. Reuben's widow, Eliza, is in First Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Marlboro Co, SC. She remarried and is Eliza Reynolds Jordan, according to her marker.
I would love to see them posted with an explanation of who they are, so people can find them. Reuben is the son of Jeremiah Reynolds and Elizabeth (Allen) Reynolds.

While fulfilling the photo requests for Historic Oakwood, I also noticed a headstone for Charles T. Hinnant, Jr (1910-1920). I did not notice it online, but I took a photo of the headstone in case you need it since it was beside Charles T. Hinnant (1881-1912).

|Karen Baker||Benjamin Smith Skinner (1849-1923)|
I requested a photo of his headstone (Oakwood Cemetery, memorial # 104742927) and this is what the volunteer reported:
"I searched for all Skinners in the cemetery database, here: http://historicoakwoodcemetery.org/search-burial-records.asp, and did not find a Benjamin Skinner. Do you have any other information that could help?"
Can you help please?

|Deborah S||Benjamin Finch|
I am looking at the Maplewood Cemetery survey done by the Wilson County Genealogical Society, copyright 1998. The entry reads:
Finch, Benjamin P. d. 25 Sep 1903
The headstone says:
Benjamin P. Finch
Died Sept 25, 1903
When I took the headstone photo, I also photographed the headstones of others in this plot. (Actually I am surveying the entire cemetery row by row.)
The people who are buried in the same plot as Benjamin are:
Gray Finch 1901-1965
Maggie C. Finch 1901-1992
John E. Finch 1875-1906 (brother of Benjamin)
Mary Margaret Finch 1921-2004
Lula Finch Lamm 1898-1979 (daughter of Benjamin)
I hope this is helpful.
