I am so glad you have pictures of her! She is my 4th cousin, 3x removed. It may sound distant to some, but I am proud of my Wake County roots. My line of Velvin (Belvin) moved on from Wake County to SC, GA, AR and then TX where I was born. And wouldn't you know ... I wind up back in Wake County!

|Cindy Wilson||John Carson Bunn|
In regards to the picture that is representing John Carson Bunn (Oakwood Cemetery) This is not John Carson Bunn! I was married to him for 2 years & 8 months. I don't know who placed the wrong picture on this page but I am in hopes that it will be removed. Our son brought this to my attention yesterday. Thanks for your help in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Again thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Cindy Bunn Wilson

|NHMBPsi||Inquiry regarding Joseph Carson Matthews, Jr.|
I hope this e-mail finds you doing well today. I am the National Historian of Mu Beta Psi, National Honorary Musical Fraternity. Our organization was founded by Percy W. Price at NC State in 1925. For the past 90 years, we have sought to advance the placement of music as an educational subject and promote the musical activities on the college campuses where we have a chapter.
I am writing to you today regarding a post that I saw you had made on findagrave.com regarding Joseph Carson Matthews, Jr. Mr. Matthews is believed to be the first National President of our organization, elected in 1929, following his graduating from NC State. My hope is that you might be able to assist me in finding some additional information about his life, including and particularly his life after college. findagrave suggests that he attended graduate school at NC state in the late 50s/early 60s and that he died in September of 2000. However, there does not appear to be much else.
I greatly appreciate any insight or assistance that you might be able to provide. I can be reached at email@example.com. Thank you very much in advance for your help and have a great day!

|Robin||Isabella Gales Hay|
Can you tell me where in Oakwood you found Isabella Gales Hay's grave? I'm the director here, and our records don't show she's here. But sometimes we see that Findagrave folks actually out on the grounds find folks for us! If you could narrow it down that would be much appreciative!

According to James DC, he is buried at the City Cemetery and Maggies states Oakwood, could it be possible that James has headstones ay both and is buried with Maggie. Thanks for bring this to my attention. James and Maggie are my 2 cousins once removed.

|Cindy Hinton||Lou Della Nowell Nowell|
Thank you for contacting me about her parents. I checked further, and her father's name is correct on her death certificate. He is shown as Edward Nowell on the 1860 US census. E. R. P. Nowell married Mary Ann Rhodes. His name was Edward Riley Powell Nowell. I've made a note on Lou Della's memorial about her father's name. I also linked her memorial to her parents' memorials.

Thanks. I'm glad you already had the information I sent. I'm new to this site so I'm probably not familiar enough with it yet to manage any memorials, but I will keep it in mind when I'm a little more familiar with the site. Thanks again.

Although I do make mistakes, this particular type is not common. Anyway, I have made the necessary corrections and I got the birth date from the Billions of Graves site, which also shows a photo of the flat grave marker. Unfortunately, they will no longer allow you to see the whole photo unless you are a member of the site. A year or two back, you could view those pics without paying them for a subscription, but like everything else in this day and age, it's all about the money not the history.
Thanks for pointing out my error.
