RE: George Pappas
I was presenting the alternative George Pappas that probably belongs with the family that this George Pappas is linked to. Once I have more information from the family I will present it to you. Again this George is linked to the wrong family. His father is not James.

RE: Welcome
I'm glad if the Pike photos and the cemetery photos of the Jewell-Wheeler site are helpful to you. The hike is lovely - about half is along the side of the Harriman Reservoir and the other half is uphill but mostly shaded. The trail is lined with stone walls so you can't help thinking about the hard-working people who cleared that land and tried to make a life on the slopes.

I made that cemetery my destination because I thought it might be the hiding place for a treasure hunt! It turned out that it wasn't the right site, but I had noted before I left that you had requested photos. So I was delighted to be able to do something productive even if I didn't find a treasure.

This is the treasure hunt site, if anyone wants to help identify it:

Thank you for welcoming me to Find A Grave. I can see where the Find A Grave participation could become a new hobby!

St. Josephs Cemetery, Webster
I noticed you have taken many photos at this cemetery. I am trying to track down a map for this cemetery since I will be visiting it next Saturday. The lady in the cemetery office has tried to give me the section directions over the phone but does not have a map to email me. By any chance do you have a map with the different section layouts? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Sue

Thank you for the info. My apologies. I didn't realize these were at two different cemeteries. I'll be sure to double-check that, if I run across another "duplicate." Please mark yours as a cenotaph. Thank you.

I am filling in blanks on my Goulding side.
On Fannie Goulding m. to Gardner Childs, I found the death info at and her age at death according to MA death index is
76Y 7M 4D.
I don't know if she is a relative of yours so whether you update or not doesn't bother me but it may bother others

Thank you

Hello, I left the family links edit for Joseph Jaskolski. His parents were my great-uncle and great-aunt.

Rutland Walker's
Thank you for your beautiful photos! I am a little confused, you have Martha (Richmond) Walker in Goose Hill cemetery, yet the photo of her stone in the group shot is next to Daniel & Sibbel. Should I move the memorials to Goose Hill? Thankfully there are no memorials for them to cause a duplicate. Thanks! Jim

I think I took care of my memorials in Rutland, if you see any more in the wrong place let me know please. Also, If the few that I did create are relatives send me an edit and I will transfer. You have done a great job in Worcester County, I have seen many of your memorials in my travels. Happy Holidays! Jim

Wheeler memorials Rutland
I created the memorials from a book entitled Monumental inscriptions in the old cemetery at Rutland. The same book I found Beulah Walker in. I am not sure why the others at Goose Hill are in the same book. I will go through the cemetery and check those I created and remove what needs to be. Jim

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I was thinking only you could add the family link but I was wrong. I will add. I too thought it was interesting. I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking at originally. Now I understand. Those sections must have been underground and protected for some time to show that much of a color difference. I will be coming to Rutland for the first time in 2015 to see these graves and to conduct some genealogical research. I can't wait to see the graves. Does the historical society in Rutland have a good collection?

Wow! You have a BIG Christmas present for me. I was so surprised. I will have to contact the cemetery association and give them a donation. I presume they are the ones who made the repair. Thanks so much for giving me a heads up. Have a wonderful holiday season and thank you again for all of the wonderful work you do. I meant to ask before, how did you know all the family links that you have posted on the memorial. Do you do your own independent research on these families? Also, I will send you the memorial number to add to the King family for their daughter, Mary Jane King Lee Smith. She is buried in the Groton Cemetery in Groton, MA.

Rebecca Parmenter King and Daniel King
Hi: You have posted the gravestones of the above at the Rutland Rural Cemetery. The pictures show the top half of the stones broken off. I am the 3rd great grand daughter of Rebecca and Daniel and would like to get the stones repaired if at all possible at this point. I live out of state so I will have to do it at a distance. Can you recommend any reputable monument companies in the area that do this type of work? Thank you for the nice posting for the Kings. Mary McC

I was just recently transferred this memorial and none of the information was put there by me. Thank you for pointing out some of the inaccuracies. This relative has always been a real challenge. If you have any information that you think may help, please E-mail it to me. I would deeply appreciate it.

The cemetery is on private property but I can't tell whose. I can give you some specific directions if you'd like. I got them from the town historian and have a few additional suggestions. Just let me know at
