RE: Floyd Dinwiddie Rader Cemetery
I use to have a Cemetery Book that was given to me from a old family friend who was a Dinwiddie since my father's cousin also was married to the Anderson Dinwiddie and our family fiend Thresa was the wife of Glen Dinwiddie I did some posting yeas ago when find a grave was hardly heard of. I'm sorry but I can't find the book and I hope you can find the information your looking for but if you done enough research you find that some of the dates can be off a few years I seen this many times and it throws me every time. I have not done much in years I only recently got a new computer and was looking at my sites thinking I need to get back to work on a lot of this stuff, but I just don't have the time. Stanley Duett

Herbert B. Brown

I inadvertantly entered an Find A Grave memorial for Herbert B. Brown who is interred in Stillwater Union Cemetery. The Find A Grave # given to me is 124571215.

Herbert was the grandfather of my uncle's wife.

I would like to be the steward of his memorial and, also, of his wife's, Elmira (Britten) Brown.

Could you be so kind as to transfer their memorials to my keeping? Also, may I use your photo of their stone?

I'm fairly new at this and I hope I'm going about this correctly.

Hey Amberlee, if you would transfer Harvey #112726038 and Mary Chollar #112726075 I'll put in Mary's maiden name Tabor, their info and connect both of them to their parents. Mary is another of my Tabor relatives. Michelle Taglavore contributor #47721461

Edward Ingham Wood - Stillwater
I received a cryptic email suggestion regarding this memorial. I followed your message string and it seams that Stillwater Union is two or three separate cemeteries? Should I change the cemetery info? I have several Kipp ancestors buried here too. Is their burial info being changed?

Thanks! Roger

RE: Samuel Ramsden
Kayla, sorry to be so late answering your question. I finally got around to the cemetery administration office, and got a quite unsatisfactory answer. They told me that since I was not a relative, they could not share such information with me, but that it could be released to a relative with proof of relationship. So if you want to pursue it, you would have to write to them at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. I have gotten enormous cooperation from administrators in other cemeteries in the past, but I guess this time we have run into bureaucrats who make up rules on the fly. Most cemeteries, in my experience, retain records which include dates and next of kin, mortuaries, plot locations, etc., and sometimes I have found very useful genealogy stuff there. It's all public info, so there is no reason to hide it, but I guess it's easier to make up a new rule than to take any chances. Such is life. You might want to try the Nevada Department of Human Resources for a death certificate, presuming he died in Nevada. Sorry to have been so little help. Ross

RE: Kipp, Stillwater Union, lot 48
Great. I fixed mine. Would you please change Charles B. Kipp #110933711 from Union to Bemis Heights. Thanks! I believe I've caught up with all the lot numbers you have sent so far.
Also, I wonder if you could take some photos of that blueprint map that would guide me to the lots which need to be copied? Or give me the adjacent names to that area? I'd like to get that area done in the next week or two, depending on the weather. We're into rain just now, but the sun in sure to appear again. Alice

Kipp, Stillwater Union, lot 48
Please check Kipp family, lot 48. Some listed in Bemis Heights section, some listed Union section, and I'm not sure which is correct. (Isaac, Maria, Charles, Solomon) Thanks, Alice

Hewitt, Chester & Rose
Just for your information, Chester A. Hewitt #53491675 and Rose Hewitt #53492142 have inscriptions at Laurel Hill lot 141 and Union lot 201. So, when you come to the final tally at Stillwater Union, the count will be off by two. In this case, I have no idea of the reason. But, entirely unrelated, I know of folks who divided cremains between lots. :-)Alice

Irish family memorials:Stillwater Union Cem
Thank you Amberlee, for the information concerning the Irish lots! If you have any other memorials in Stillwater Union for me to update & you would wish to. You may send me a batch email or a batch listing on one SAC, this might make it easier than sending individual SAC's. Again thank you for all the wonderful work with this project. You truly do have a great cemetery to map, my wife & I enjoy visiting when we are in this neck of the woods :^)

I had no clue that you were working on this project remotely! Yes, I'll be glad to check those remaining lots, and a map would make all the difference in checking the correct location.

I corrected two Arnolds, and hope I didn't miss any others. Easy mistake going from the Lawn section to the Wood section. Oh well....
