Stude Photo Request at Fairmount
Hi Ruth,
Do you know if there is a stone placed or Elsa Stude?
I search the area with the plot map and was not able to locate a stone.

Would you be able to verify with the cemetery office if a stone had been placed for her?

Thanks
Robin

Pfrimmers Memorials
Hi,

I finally got a monitor hooked to my laptop, and was able to add the info you requested. I am assuming you have the correct dates for the Manbecks. You are correct that they are quite difficult to read, and weren't any easier when I was in the cemetery. I wonder if there is an earlier cemetery reading from the 30's that could clear up some of the questions. Anyhow, sorry it took so long.

Hi Ruth, I transfered the Fords to you. I love it when memorials find a home with relatives!

RE: Woodlawn Photo Request
Yes, more than likely there isn't one especially if they are right next to each other.
But continue to check the website out if you are looking for other people. The guy that puts this together works on it gradually as is updating as often as possible. Share with other people too!

Woodlawn Photo Request
Hello, I found where you had requested some photos for Woodlawn Cemetery, Iowa. I wanted to let you know about a website you can go to that is put together by a local man. William & Helen Snethen are listed and there is a headstone photo & obituary there for them.
Check out: http://www.iamonroe.org/cemetery/Woodlawn/

I would have liked to clean around his name to sharpen it, but the U.S. prohibits altering them.

RE: William Snethen grave
No mention was made of a William Snethen being buried any where in Fairview according to the County Historical Society's findings in 1994 nor did I locate a stone with legible evidence.

Good day, I am trying to merge the two memorials for your relatives. The other owner has not responded. Perhaps you can work directly with them... just a thought.

RE: Shoemaker/Shumaker tombstone photos
Tried to come up a good set. It's tricky with the reflections off the polished granite trying to minimize and still have the picture acceptable to the eye.

I like your deer picture. It seems like the more deer activity on the way to the lake, the more fish activity after getting there. Just have to drive safely.

I finally made it back to Eldorado and got the whole stone this time. Hope it works better for you. The part that says "aged" is underground so it doesnt show. Have a good day.Kim

I didnt realize I had chopped off part of her name. I will try to go back and get a better pic.We had walked right past her so many times I got in a hurry and the sun was so bright I couldnt see in my viewfinder. The original is deleted and gone. But I will get a better one. Its a beautiful area by the way!

RE: Carpenter tombstone photos
You are more than welcome. Did they have a daughter Dorothy Carpenter Hargis 1906-1987? She is on one side of Lydia & William and Rufus is on the other. I took photo of her stone as well, but a memorial hasn't been set up for her.
