Jerry Chambers at ANC
Hi, Davy, the group burial stone at Arlington National which includes Jerry Chambers has finally been installed! I have photos to post on his page and the pages of the others, and I'll try to do that today or tomorrow.

I may retake the photos -- it was very bright and I couldn't get the right angle, so I may retry this weekend and post better photos.

The stone for LTC Brauner has not been installed yet, but the base has gone in, so we can hope it will be soon!

Thanks for your patience.

Lt Col Richard D Smith
I have emailed the cemetery asking for the exact location for Dick. When I find out, I will let you know. Strange but he's in the same cemetery as 2 friends of mine plus an aunt & uncle.

LTC Brauner at ANC
Hi, Davy,
Just want you to know that the permanent stone for LTC Brauner and the crew is still not in place at Arlington National. It seems that the large stones are taking quite a while. I have not forgotten, and will post the photos and notify you as soon as the stone is there. Thank you, and happy new year!

LTC Brauner at ANC
I've posted the temporary marker at Arlington for LTC Brauner and the rest of the downed crew, buried two weeks ago. I promise to keep track and photograph once the permanent stone is in, which could be a couple of months from now. There is no other stone for LTC Brauner at ANC.

RE: Brauner
Hi, just for your reference -- the burial site for LTC Brauner and crew is Section 60 Site 9553. I will photograph the permanent stone once it is in place (temp marker for now). A news article can be found at

RE: Jerry Chambers
Actually, timing is everything! LTC Brauner and the others on that crew are being interred at ANC tomorrow (6/17) at 3PM. I will take a photo of the temporary marker in order to get the site number, but will watch for the permanent stone to be installed and then photograph it for you.

RE: Jerry Chambers
I'll check for LTC Brauner when I go to ANC. I believe that he is part of either a recent or planned group burial.

Jerry Chambers
Hi, Davy, this is info you might already know, but there is a Group Burial that includes Jerry Chambers, in addition to the individual site that I photographed the other day. "The group remains burial for the crew from this C-130 will occur on 10 Jun 2010 at 0800 at Arlington National Cemetery. Here are the names of the crew: Jerry L. Chambers; Calvin C. Glover; Thomas E. Knebel; William H. Mason; William T. McPhail; Thomas B. Mitchell; Gary Pate; Melvin D. Rash"
I think the site, in Section 60, is 9160. I did take a photo of the temporary marker, but would be glad to photograph and add the photo of that stone once it is in place.
