RE: What do you mean?
please add the Death certificate number. We were surveying Cook/Berrien Co Cemeteries and if we couldn't find a photo then we would add the dc number as a source. That's all.....That way if someone is researching they have a source to start with. Thanks so much! Cat

Parents of Frances Malonie Dorn
I have the parents of Frances (1804-1875) as Peter Dorn (Find A Grave #105263291) and Margaret Eve (cannot find her last name). Would you link her to her parents? Frances married Barville Permenter (Find A Grave #346216670)
in SC in 1830. They ended up in Echols County GA.

Let me know if you have any problem with this. Mr Ouzts, who managed the site, is no longer working with Find A Grave.

Thank you!

Thanks for your inquiry. I am a Blitch descendant and have been looking for his grave for many, many years. WE are 'homing' in, but do not have an exact spot yet. I'm curious of your interest and how you know the family is looking to mark it. Do tell :)) Please write me directly at pas 47 pap yahoo com. THANKS!

RE: Transfers
Joseph you don't have to do all that work to transfer the memorials I won't be using this site much. I just wanted to update some very important information that the family discovered through DNA testing. We had the "Miller" side of the family all wrong. You don't have to transfer any more. Im not going to be active on this site unless we make more discoveries. It still means a lot to me what you did for me. Im so glad all of my memorials were not deleted because from what I understand someone tried to have that done. All of the people I transferred my memorials to were dear people who kept my family memorials safe. Thank You Joseph.

Thanks Joseph for the Transfers. I wanted to update based on new evidence my family has found. No I am not Delete. I haven't used the site for almost a year. I have noticed that name on several of my memorials. Hope you are good. J

Miller Family Discoveries
Hello Joseph, Its me Julie. The Miller family has made many exciting new discoveries beginning with Joshua Miller buried in Markham Ontario Canada. His bio is now incorrect and we can link him to his parents and know his wife. Would you transfer the memorials for Curry back to me so that I can update the bios? Ill try this site one more time. Just don't want any misinformation about the family now that we know the truth. Thanks Julie

RE: Leaving FAG
I know that Pam isn't active on Find A Grave. She expressed to me that she was very unhappy with the website for a long time, and little could I do to change that situation as I did try. I was on her emailing list for her "swan song" email, as I am sure there were many who were also on it. She has done some well-documented genealogy that has been invaluable to me in the past proving DAR applications. I wish her well in whatever she does.

My grandmother was a Sweat...the north FL line not the So GA line that she is related....yet both lines are the same line in the 1700's. Before she left, I wish she had transferred a few memorials to me such as my grandmother's brother's memorial. I have been here nearly 10 years and it is not killing me not to manage it as I don't have to manage every memorial in my direct or indirect family lines like some members to be happy.

You have a good day.

transferring of memorials
In the guidelines you will read that grandparents are mandatory transfers....so there were no need to do the duplicates if she wouldn't transfer them to you.

Read the guidelines.

DeLoach Research
Hi, Joseph! Are you the one I met today in Homerville? I looked at the Skipper Kelly that you transferred to me. Seems so nice to locate a gravesite of a Skipper. I am still searching for info on ancestry of Elias Skipper. No luck so far. I am also a DeLoach descendant. Which DeLoaches do you descend from?

Is your book still available?
Our family genealogist of 40 or more years has Mary Townsend (Platt) buried in Long County Georgia and that may be in the Huxford corrections. I do appreciate all your hard work.

Angel Petty
Jordan and Steedley family
My name is Angel and I have been trying to find information on my great great great grandfather Zachariah Steedley. My grandfather was Samuel Jordan from Fargo, Ga. My great grandfather was Elijah Jordan. I would appreciate any information you may have. I know Zachariah is buried in Devils Bay Cemetery in Argyle, but my search beyond him has hit a stand still.

RE: Fiveash Family Reunion
No, sorry we don't know of a reunion. I only follow Fiveash because my husbands great grandmother's sister was married to George Bryant Fiveash and there are Fiveash's in the Center Methodist Church Cemetery in Center GA, who are relatives. The Center Methodist Church has a homecoming on the 4th Sunday of October each year, so that would be the closest to a reunion.

RE: Grave Dowsing
I actually had never heard of it but will look it up. I usually just look for "sinks" but then trying to determine who is in the sink....probably has to come from older family members. Well in my case, we have a plot in Macon and would never had known who was who if it wasn't for an aunt who went with us to the site. She had everyone marked and we later found out some the BD/DoD info was off. But at least they were marked.....Cat

Sarah Skipper Kelly 37393657
If Mrs. Kelly is not an ancestor of yours or related to you, would you please transfer her to me. I am #46998797. If you want to keep her, I will give you some genealogical information about her to add to her memorial. Along that line, if you know anything about Elias Skipper, would you please share it? There any many who would like to have this information. He was my ggg grandfather. His daughter, Phoebe Skipper Duggan, (Sarah's sister) was my gg grandmother.

Isaac James Jordan
I cannot link the memorial you gave for Isaac James Jordan as Mary Ann Jordan Griffis' father at this time. The death certificate given as proof of his death date does not in any way prove his identity to be the Isaac J. Jordan of Georgia. I did some searching on Ancestry.com, and while someone had gone and "edited" birthplaces to make this Isaac J. Jordan fit the one from Georgia, I was able to trace an Isaac J. Jordan, born in South Carolina between 1857 and 1859, all the way back to the 1870 census, where he was living in SC with his parents, Allen and Catharine.
