I sent some corrections for my Grandmother's site yesterday and I thank you for taking care of that quickly.

I would like to manage her site also and I forgot to tell you that yesterday.

Thx

Dear Kathleen,

My family has a photo of our great (x3) grandmother's headstone, before it either crumpled or was vandalized. It was taken by my great aunt about 30 years ago. I also sent you an email with the photo. Please let me know if you get the photo.

Very best,
Monica

Thanks, Kathleen,
Did not mean to rush you - was just making sure my email went through. I have a distant relationship through Lena Bowles Siers, but may also have something through my Richmond lines. Many of these families are intertwined. Just started working on this line recently. If I find anything else I will send it your way.
Vicki

Kathleen,
I just received an approval where you added this person under David Rouse (as father), which I had requested. I regret to tell you that upon further research, I have found this to be incorrect. I am sorry. I found his death certificate on line which proved it. Please remove him from the David Rouse, Sarah Whitehead Rouse memorial. Thank you,
Joe Scott

RE: Cherry Hospital Cemetery
By the way, I see you do a lot a cemetery travelling in eastern NC. I'm researching institutional cemeteries (see the website on my profile page) and I should have the NC institutional cemeteries I've been able to identify online in the next couple days. There are A LOT that don't have exact locations and/or need burial lists (red & yellow icons on the map). If you're so inclined I could use some help with them. (I live in Wisconsin.)

RE: WILLIAM WHITFIELD II
Kat - You are THE BOMB!! I can't believe it. Now my work is cut out to get to connecting them and it will indeed be some tedious work, but I'm in. Thank you so very much and I thought I'd be waiting awhile, but you got in high gear!

I really do appreciate it, my whole family is interested, especially my brother in Nashville and I'm just really excited and appreciative. I should mention that my Great Grandfather Whitfield was like a father to my Daddy and his two brothers. Daddy was the baby but they were all were born two years apart; their father died of pneumonia when Daddy was 5 years old. They all lived together on the large home place here in Texas in two big old "gingerbread" style houses built in the 1800's. Grandpa Whitfield stepped up to the plate when Daddy's father died and was absolutely wonderful. His nickname was "Coot" and Daddy just adored him as well as his Grandma Whitfield, so the Whitfields are very, very special to me. I spent many hours and days myownself in the Whitfield home that my Grandmother Zola Whitfield Yankie inherited, and grew up in a house a stone's throw from her on our dairy farm. I was her little shadow. That's why the trunks with all the documents, letters and treasures were left to me.

When I get to connecting them, I'll make requests as I go if you have any of my dear Whitfield peeps.

Sending very kind regards your way,
Nancy Yankie Sidarous

I always have to work in spurts so I certainly understand! My 93 year old Mother lives with me --however, she's a great source. I will look at the other memorials Goldenrod has and see if there are some of my Whitfields.

I will send my requests (if any) through the edit properly for each one. Take your time. I'm thrilled each time a transfer comes through. It really makes my day because I Looove my family so much and have a lot to offer on them. My G Grandpapa C. William Whitfield would be proud.

Kindest Regards,
Nancy, #48149695

WILLIAM WHITFIELD II
I want to extend my most sincere heartfelt thanks for your valuable work, important preservation to all, but most important to family. You are so very generous and thorough!

I now go into my Grandmothers trunks for the treasures she left me that contain information on her, and MY ancestors! It is thrilling to me. Your work and these transfers are of major importance to me and my family.

I won't forget the day I found him, or the day you generously transferred him to me. He's a part of me and I first told my children. We are so happy and proud to come from a long line of brave, heroic, outstanding Whitfield's.

Thank you.

Kindest Regards,
Nancy, Many G's Proud Granddaughter of Capt Whitfield, a Grand Man
