|karen||Sarah Monty Hibbard|
On her bio you put:
Sarah Monty's family on her father's side were of French origin. The first Monty to North America came from France and settled in Chambly, Quebec in what was once known as New France. A few generations later at least one of the Monty's came to New York State, and Sarah's father Lewis was born at a place called Monty's Bay. He later came to Michigan, living in Benton Harbor. Source of this information, as well as all the names & dates of her antecedents, is WFT Vol. 3, Ed. 1, Tree #4196.
What is WFT?? I would like to see this. Trying to research the line of her mother Harriet LeWare/LeWave/Sears/Woods. All of these maiden names have been attached to her which makes finding her parents very difficult! Karen Harrison at firstname.lastname@example.org

Somewhat distantly, through the Campbell family. My mother was a Campbell and that is my middle name. That is a fairly common thread in our family -- keeping a name alive by using it as a middle or even first name.

Thanks for the fix. It would go nicely with a memorial for his son, Sabinus Jason Rice. The bio for the father is very interesting. Rod

No problem Kathy - I've been working, slowly but surely, on photographing Salt River Cemetery. If you would like to manage Carrie's memorial, please send me your Find A Grave number through the edit tab on her page and I will transfer it to you.

I see the marker shows 1887 has the date of death. The Transcribing book for the cemetery and the memorial has the date of death 1867 don't know which one is correct bit an error was made somewhere.

|TGeesin||Updated Pitman tomb picture.|
Someone cleaned up the Pitman Tomb. Picture I took Summer 2009 looks a little bit different than the one you posted. When did you take that photo?

Thanks! We seem to have had a lot of Monroe County men that enlisted in the 14th Ohio. You wouldn't happen to know where most of these men enlisted would you? Also, do you have any records of an Alexander or Carl Rupp? His brother Adolph was in the 14th, and Carl Alexander died in 1865, but there is no record of his death in the Monroe records. I assume he may have died in the war.
Would it be OK to list your contact info in our files for these 14th OVI men?? I am sure we'll need help for others.

|Bruce Rova||Martha C. Beckert|
Hi- I am trying to prove Martha's birth place and time and parents. Can you tell me how you were able to come up with the date and place of birth for her memorial you put on findagrave in February? My research is being done as part of a gift for friends who live in Manassas Germany - the wife is a direct descendent of Martha [and also of Martha's sister, Caroline Cecelia Beckert, if I have the parents for them correctly as Andreas Beckert and Lena Magdalena Link for both].
Thanks in advance for considering my question.

Hello - Wondered if you could add that Sarah was the daughter of Elisha Hibbard (1719-1790) and Mary Palmer (1723-1770).
